  1. Anyway your doctor could move up your appointment? I know the point you're at, I stuggled through mine for two weeks even though I knew I could just call the office and move the appointment. Now they scheduled me for 4 weeks cause I didn't call in on my own. They didn't know I learned my lesson fast this time. Heck, I'm almost tempted to move this one up if I keep on being hungry. It's not bad but it's no way to be. Give em a call, see what they say. Let em know you're ready to chew the leather off the couch.
  2. Thanks guys. Gonna try to kick the calories up a bit for a couple days. Looks like it's gonna be work though I'm only at 750 so far today and I had half a chocolate muffin. Got the carbs up to 80g though. Maybe that's all it needs. Cross your fingers for me. Also, has anyone else had this happen - I feel full but my stomach is still growling? Is that what they call head hunger? Or is it just cause of the way the band works? Or could be I'm a freak of nature. LOL
  3. I'm really having a hard time getting a hang of this band. When I first had my surgery I was full easily and it seemed like I barely had time to eat the little bit of food I got on the full liquid stage. I was at about 600-800 calories then. Then I got my first fill even though I wasn't sure I needed one. I lost for about 3 weeks, then hit a plateau and even gained 3 back over a three week period. At that time my calories slowly crept from 800 to about 1200. Last Tuesday I got my second fill and had 1072 calories that day then went down to 660-950 most recent right in the 700-800 range. I lost weight fast again. Took off the 3 I gained plus another 6 but over the last two days I've stalled again. Also, I don't feel quite as tight though I know I still have restriction because I almost threw up the last two nights at dinner. I'm also hungry fairly often. Okay, now the questions. Do I just need a fill, even if just a small one? Is this just a normal body fluctuation or cycle? Am I hungry more often because I've boosted my metabolism? Should I kick up the calories for a couple days then drop them way down for a couple to shock my system? Do I need to change the kind of food I eat? I'm trying to stay low carb but I've been getting around 50-60g, couple days I was down to 40ish. Sorry for all the questions but I'm really worried and don't want to gain any back. I love when I'm losing fast and want to do my best to keep that going. Also, I'm doing about the same amount of excercise for the last 3 weeks though I added aerobics one day. And my next fill is on 6-10. Anybody have any ideas on my million and one questions or ideas I might try?
  4. Right back at ya. :biggrin2: ((((HUG))))
  5. Kjeter - That is so sweet of you! I just wish I had lost enough to take advantage of your very generous offer. I'm sure they will find a good home very soon.
  6. :wink2::biggrin2::hand::biggrin2::ohmy::biggrin: Way to go! Beating ourselves up over our mistakes is a quick formula for failure.
  7. Ready, you're the best. And Jaime, so are you. You guys have always been so supportive of everyone. I sat there last night for about an hour trying to find the right words for a response to this. Leave it to our author to find all the right ones. VVs are supportive not judgemental and that was, I think, the problem most of us had with the post. I really don't even think that the poster knew she came of as a know-it-all, do-no-wrong, harsh bitch though I did see she's apologized serveral times for "sounding like a bitch". Really glad it seems to have been dropped though.
  8. Aveamora - sorry but the woman I know who has them was off today so I'll have to ask her tomorrow.
  9. I've just had bad, bad allergies. Sneezing a ton and sometimes feel a little pain in the port area but the doctor didn't seem too concerned about it. As far as pills go, try to get everything in liquid. I had to have a prescription rewritten even though I told them liquid before hand. You can take em by crushing them and then putting them in yogurt or SF pudding but it's such a pain. Tylenol Liquid Blast and I were good friends when I had a toothache.
  10. Sadly, yep. Most fruit is bad but they say I can have fruit of veggie carbs cause they're healthy carbs. I was gonna eat a small pear today but couldn't bring myself to do it since it has 20-25g carbs.
  11. A friend of mine at work bought these, I think. I know her legs were killing her the first day. I'll check with her today and see what she thought of them.
  12. Dang Becca, those sound so good my mouth is drooling even though I'm stuffed from my breakfast of Salsa Chicken (which I'm renaming Pollo Bendito which means Blessed Chicken) :biggrin2:
  13. That is so fantastic! You soooooo deserve to be ecstatic. Doesn't it feel so great when it dips below that awful 300 mark? I just passed there myself about a month ago so we're very close. ::does happy dance for Gibson::
  14. That sounds really yummy! Plus, I just bought some flax seed and was going to use it in my low cal oatmeal Cookies but thought it might not go so I had no idea what I was gonna do with it. Woo hoo - meat loaf! Thanks Gibson! By the way, I made that Salsa chicken that Blessed mentioned above. It was to die for! I did it basically the same but used some different spices to brown it and simmered it in a dutch oven on the stove instead of the crockpot. Goodness!
  15. I don't really know the difference. But I'm not overly concerned with the fat at this point. I just really want to keep the carbs low and then when I get a hang of that I'll worry about reducing the fat. Thank you.
  16. Welcome back Gibson. Feels like forever since I've seen a post of yours. Hope the world lets you have more free time soon cause you sure perk things up around here.
  17. Ohhhh, yummy! Sounds like egg drop soup and it sounds delicious. Thanks.
  18. Both of those sound really yummy. Thank you. Can't believe I haven't seen that tuna before. I will definately grab some as soon as I find it. And I'm going to Wal-Mart today so the salsa is on the list. Thanks.
  19. I'm getting so burned out on all the things that are staples for me cause they're quick, easy and mostly cheap. Anyone have some tasty ideas for me? Thanks
  20. Welcome, welcome, welcome! I'd say that is very average. My ticker shows more because I'm going from the first time I stepped into the surgeon's office. 18 was from 6 month diet - I lost 24 and put 6 back on at Christmas. Then I lost either 16 or 18 on my two week pre-op liquid diet. So that puts me at 35-37 post op.
  21. How'd it go Office? Did you get an unfill? Been thinking about you today. Hope you're feeling better.
  22. Hope you have a wonderful time. Enjoy it to the fullest. I think that can be done without much food. Not sure though, it used to be a big part of vacations for me. Make the ex good and jealous by not giving a damn.
  23. You look amazing! You should be so danged proud of yourself. And I can totally see the difference, front and back. I'm feeling a bit green with envy here.
  24. Valvinnek - that's fantastic news! Tell him congrats! And enjoy your healthy lifestyles together. marathinner - good for him! We can put his picture on a dart board when we get frustrated - LOL Seriously, how is the sleeve. I was really curious about it but know almost nothing.
  25. Add me to the bruised group. I've had one about half dollar sized from both fills and from my surgery. I'm not an easy bruiser either. I just figured it was from all the poking he did. You're in good company.
