  1. Thank you so much, just waiting for insurance now.
  2. I'm hoping it will help relieve my reflux but at present I'm waiting for insurance to approve me.
  3. I'm waiting for insurance to ok me and I'm hopeful it works for me also
  4. I also have a hiatal hernia from the sleeve I'm waiting for my dr to get me approved so I'm just praying it's done soon the hernia is small but painful.
  5. Try things like fudge pops no sugar added, they're good, also skinny cow has some good ice cream just dont eat it everyday or your gonna add weight back on quickly, also breyers has a low card ice cream bar with dark chocolate that I love. Good luck just remember it's a treat.
  6. Can anyone tell me your experiences revising from the sleeve to the bypass? I'm hoping it will relieve my acid reflux, but I've heard it doesn't work.
  7. I use fioricet for my bad headaches and I had the sleeve 3 years ago June 20th.
  8. I agree if you want to stay successful you should be staying away from donuts and empty calorie foods totally. That's why there is only a 5%success rate.
  9. Cottage cheese and peaches and greek yogurt are my rescue foods also. There are days when I eat food, but there are days that every time I think about food I get nauseous. Dont be afraid to stay on a lighter diet when this happens. Sometimes you have to go back to lighter diet and slowly add things back to your diet. I'm on my 3rd year after having the sleeve and I've learned to pay attention to my stomach more. I was 238, surgery at 209, The smallest I got was 142, I gained back about 25 pounds but when I'm strict with my snacking I can now easily lose weight like when I was 40 but I'm 57 and the sleeve is a good surgery but I have to revise to bypass surgery due to acid reflux.
  10. I just today made sf jello and I added a scoop of the elevation vanilla to my jello after I finished putting in the cold water. It's not clear jello but at least it settles my binge eating at night and I dont add empty calories. It's a win win!
  11. Yeah I go through spurts where anything goes but it usually makes me nauseous eventually and my cravings soon go away. If I stick to the menu they gave me from the get go I always feel full and I dont get cravings for junk food or fast food.
  12. Just eat what you're craving in small bites but make it at home and substitute the unhealthy parts of the fast food for healthy choices. That's how you can keep busy and stop thinking of food all the time and you also learn how to make healthier choices and cook proper meals for yourself without the fast food versions.[emoji847]
  13. I get the same pain, especially in the morning if I've taken my vitamins late the night before.
  14. Yes I have always had problems with acid reflux, but I was on 20 mg twice a day. I never had it coming up on me in the middle of the night until I had the sleeve. They are going to fix my hernia at the same time they do the bypass. I'll have all my prerequisites done by July. I'll keep you posted if you want.
  15. You can mix it in coffee, yogurt, cottage cheese with peaches, milk, ice cream, juice and anything you eat or drink almost. The only real way to find out what you like or dont is to simply try it. Dont be afraid to try different ways to experiment with protein powder. The worse thing that can happen is you waste a scoop or so. Try anything you can to get your protein in to keep healthy.
  16. I mix elevation vanilla, one scoop in my morning coffee, dont even taste it. It's not too sweet and not too heavy of a vanilla flavor. You can only get Elevation at aldis. The protein bars are also good, not too sweet and not many carbs.
  17. Yes I just recently tried unjury and it is much better
  18. Six star unflavored whey protein powder 20 grams protein per scoop. I recently was at my nutritionist and she gave me a sample of unjury protein powder and it's even better, she suggested I get it on Amazon because it may be less expensive. Good luck!
  19. You might crave it, but that craving could change the minute you bite into it. Your cravings for food is going to be so different you wont recognize yourself.
  20. I'm 2 years out in June 2019 and I still have food aversions especially in restaurants. I pretty much avoid restaurants. I just enjoy cooking at home more.
