Think it's the way we are built. I've resigned myself to the fact I will never have cute little shapely legs.. Just not made that way. My personal trainer always tells me you can't spot train. But obviously exercises that work the muscles in your legs are squats, sumo squats for the insides, box stepping, hill walking always hurts my butt and hamstrings the next day etc. As you loose weight they will decrease.. I've lost about 114lbs but in comparison they're still big, bumpy, wrinkly.. But now they have muscle underneath all that!!! Roll off the next 100lbs!!

8 months out, the only two meats I have a problem with are chicken breast and sausages. Now I only chicken thighs (which I find tastier anyway) and I peel the skin off my sausages and eat the meat (happy dog!!) As I still have a lot of weight to get off, I haven't really pushed trying processed carbs much. Quinoa and buckwheat are ok for me very occasionally. Red meat is fine as long as its cooked on the rare side.

I've always been told that no matter what exercise you do.. You can't decide where the weight will come off.. In other words.. Basically we can't spot train. -
Just putting it out there, so 'dirty' little secrets may see the light of day!

I drank all my holiday cocktails... Through a straw.... SLOWLY!! -
I was also back on food after two weeks. I got those symptoms when I had soya milk. I stopped it and so have the cramps and dodgy tummy gone. Might be the broccoli too. My suggestion is give it a couple days till you try it again. Sometimes it happens early out with no explanation.

How did you pick your "starting weight"?
sanks51 replied to HoosierGirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had no pre op diet. The weight I use is the weight I was on the day I had my pre op assessment (10 days before my actual surgery date). -
I didn't manage any protein shakes post op at all. I was advised to take in what liquids I could and as soon as I was cleared for purée/soft foods I basically just ate protein sources. As a result I'm fine and have suffered no ill consequences such as hair loss. Don't stress the protein shakes.. I now cook lots with protein powder!! Trying to use up all my supplies!! Tastes sooooo much better too!!

Hi, I had my band out and then waited 13 months for my op. I'm doing great on the sleeve. Hopefully the time will fly by for you

This recipe sounds heavenly!! I'm all pumpkin at the moment.. Tomorrow I'm baking a GF pumpkin cake thing... It's got coconut flour and tapioca starch.. Sweetened with honey!! Anyway family want to give it go... This protein shake is next on the make/bake list for sure!!

My dr was Mr Patel. He operates at Kings College under the NHS, and the Princess Alexander as a private patient. He has a nurse, Beth in charge of private after care and she is phenomenal. -

Cucumber and cheese/tuna sandwich Slices of meat (chicken fillets, ham, ox tongue etc) Boiled egg or whatever kind of egg Homemade meatballs (beef/turkey/lamb/mine) A couple prawns or some shrimp (warmed up with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar glaze) Diced up chicken thigh with a teaspoon of tzatziki Hummus and cucumber fingers
-
You can make a poached egg or a boiled egg and mash it finely with a fork. At first you may not be able to eat the whole portion. For some bizarre reason scrambled egg made me feel a little sick.. I was ok with the other two options.
