Almost surgery time
I am sorry that your fiance is not being supportive. Maybe that will change once you have had the surgery. This forum can be a great support to you. I pray you have a safe surgery and recovery quickly.

Dying for a Chia Tea Latte
My nut let us start regular coffee at 3 weeks post-op. It has been a lifesaver lol.... I quit caffine 3 weeks before my surgery, but I was happy to have it back as soon as I was able. I have had zero issues with acid reflux. I have never had heartburn in my life unless I was pregnant..lol

Any tips/tricks for getting all that water in?
Have you tried room temperature or warm fluids? I couldn't drink anything cold for the first 2 weeks because I had a similar problem.

Vitamins
I am taking the Bariactric fusion chewables in berry flavor. They have everything you need in one big vitamin. I take them 3 times a day.

Thank you @Sweet as peaches. It is good to hear you are doing so well. i keep forgetting that you live in NYC. If I was waiting for a cab around here it would be a long wait.. lol.. I am envious that you live close enough to work that you can walk. I have a 1 hour commute each way.

Ok ladies here are my photos. I have to post them one at a time because I don't have software to do a collage. I added my drivers license photo because that is me at my highest weight 255. The first one was taken last year with my grandson. Sorry it isn't the best photo, but the best i could fine. The next one was this morning before my haircut and the last one After. No belly shots because I never thought to take any befores.

Did anyone HATE water post op?
I still don't like plain water since surgery. I drink a ton of diet green tea, coffee, and lemonade flavored vitamin water. Any fluid you are drinking counts toward your 64oz so don't feel like you have to force yourself to drink plain water.

Hysterectomy
I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago. This was obviously before my WLS surgery but I can say my experience then was it through my body into a big hormonal mess. I suffered major hot flashes and it effected my moods. I would definitely work closely with your doctors to try and minimize the effects as much as possible. I didn't want to do hormone replacement as it scared me long term. In retrospect I think I should have. I don't know how this will effect your weight loss, but be prepared for it to slow down. Your hormones will change and it may take a while for things to even out. I hope you have a safe surgery and quick recovery.

I definitely plan on updating on this thread. Thank you @Newme17 for getting it started. We have 120 pages!! I feel similar to you in that I feel more normal. When I look in the mirror though I can't believe the changes I am seeing. I am looking forward to the next year. I want to make the best of this opportunity and make permanent positive changes. I want to be the best version of myself that I can be. My family is growing with a new grand baby coming in February of next year so I feel like this is the perfect time for me to be taking control of my health. I buy the cheese sticks with the turkey sticks to have for snacks or pack in my lunch for work. I bought some nuts tonight and I plan on trying some for the first time this weekend. I am always on the look out for healthy snacks and new recipes. I think we should share on this thread. I am going to share some photos tomorrow after I get me hair done! I have to find some from highest weight till now to put together. Hubby will be home tomorrow night!!!!

Drinks after sleeve
I like diet green tea. It is zero calories and I find it refreshing. Water has been different for me since surgery. I used to love it and now not so much. I also drink vitamin water lemonade flavor and coffee.

Diabetes and liquid diet
I am not nor have I ever been on insulin, but I am a type 2 diabetic. I stopped my medication the night before surgery to prevent lows. My sugar actually went high the first night probably due to the stress of surgery. The second night my bs went low and I had to drink some juice to bring it up. So I would definitely be talking to your doctor to find out how to manage your bs during theses changes with your diet.

Made it to the other side
Go to your profile page and click edit, on the left hand side there should be some choice like profile, surgery, signature, and trackers. Click on trackers and it will guide you through setting up your own.

3 months post op - discouraged
I agree completely and that is why I am paying attention to how many calories I am eating right now. It would be very easy to be consuming only 400-600 calories because we are eating so little. I have noticed on days I do especially well hydrating I eat less and that means less calories. It makes me nervous because my metabolism is already screwed up enough.

Made it to ONEderland!
Congrats! You look great?

BMI Too High--Help!
It is my understanding that losing weight is mostly about your diet so not exercising shouldn't stop you from losing weight. I would try a low carb diet and see if that helps get you stared losing weight. If you google low carb diet you should find tons of information about it. Ask your doctor about a medically supervised diet also and see if that is available to you. I hope you can find the strength to get started and wish you good luck.

This is my plan also. I have thyroid issues as it is and I don't want to risk my metabolism with too few calories.

Total Calories or Net Calories
I am not consistently making my protein goal either and I am one month post -op also. Yesterday I was at 70g, but the day before only 50g. I find my hunger and ability to eat varies day to day. I wasn't even considering the effect of my exercise on my calorie intake until I noticed the net calorie total on my tracking app. I am just not sure if I should be considering that number or just ignore it.
