  1. I was given ice chips and was told to get up and walk walk,walk. It helps with the gas pains. Didn't need much pain meds. The walking really helps.
  2. Carbonation can stretch the sleeve.
  3. I am 3 days post - op and noticing everytime I drank my protein shake I start to develop real bad gas. Is anyone else experiencing this?
  4. I was told to stop my hctz And I didn't take any vitamins Pre op. I started taking vitamins post op. Still can't take hctz because it may help make me dehydrated.
  5. I felt the same way.i had surgery 3/10/17. It was the best choice I made. Yes it is a change in my life but worth it. My health is my priority. I was going to cancel the day before but when I joined this support group it really helped me. So many positive responses. I thank God for the wonderful people who responded. I was really Scared but I am glad I stepped out on faith. My husband has also supported me which really meant a lot. So keep doing everything you suppose to do and you will be Fine!
  6. I was feeling the same way even up to the day before surgery. This support group has helped me overcome being scared. I am 4 days post op and very glad I went thru with everything. It is a change but a good change. You will be fine. When it comes to having better health ; it is worth it. Keep going and don't give up! [emoji23]

  8. I was told my skin look much better. I think drinking water helps. I looked in the mirror and my skin Looks clear and Smooth.
  9. I am 2 days post - op. I was told to do a lot of walking. Can I walk on treadmill at gym to Get some walking in since it is cold outside.
  10. I was given a list of a schedule what to drink every 30 mins from 8a-8p which also includes the vitamins. I am finding it hard to do because I feel full. Is anyone else doing this?
  11. I was told to eat PB2 Powered peanut butter. You just add water and stir. It tastes good. Less fat and calories.
  12. I was told I could take Flintstone Chewable complete. They have all the requirements needed.
  13. I just had surgery and really don't have much pain.i walk a lot to get rid of the gas. Not bad as I thought it would be.

  15. I had surgery yesterday. Feel good besides mild gas pain. I have gas X And pain med given. I was up walking about 3 hrs after surgery and still walking it helps get rid of gas pain. Not bad at all!
  16. You can't have nail polish but I haven't heard about hair extensions. I guess as long as No clips are in them.

  19. I learned the hard way. I told family and co-workers about surgery thinking they would be Supporting me BUT! That did not happened. I received negative results. I wished I had just kept my mouth shut. My friends were positive about it.
  20. I use to be on statins but everyone Made my whole body ache.then I was told I could take the vitamin niacin. The no flush niacin. It is for cholesterol.
  21. I believe the liquid diet is to help keep you hydrated before surgery and no starch 3 weeks before surgery to shrink your liver.
  22. Getting ready for surgery. A little nervous but better than yesterday. I pray everything goes well.
