  1. It has.a Bite valve that is very soft with a slit at top. You biting down on valve keeps air from entering your drink. IT works!!!'
  2. Yes I did! I just did not have any starch. My liver looked good! I am 8 day post op!
  3. I was told to wait a year because you draw in air but I was told to buy a camelback bottle. Sold at targets or dick's. It keeps air from being drawn in with each sip.
  4. Walking helps a lot for gas pains. I walked so much around hospital that I really did not need pain medication. I took Tylenol The first night. You will do ok. This is a journey. A good journey [emoji3]!
  5. I only had to do 2 days liquid diet before surgery. I found it to be not so hard as I thought it would be. I did get very very nervous the day before Surgery but this support group really helped me get over the nervousness. Now I am 8 days out and feel really great!!!
  6. With that said, I stay away from carbonation!
  7. I had good news today! I had gained 9 lbs when I came home From the fluid they pump in you. I lost 11 lbs on scale today. I can start puree today and I am Also cleared to go to gym to do treadmill Walking and elliptical[emoji3]! I am so happy and glad I had the sleeve Done. This is the best I felt in a long time.

  9. I had my surgery on 3/10 also. I live in York pa but had surgery in md. I feel great as well. Just gas pains sometimes but I walk it off or take Gasx. I am having my follow up today and ready to move on to pureed foods.
  10. I was sleeved in md 3/10/17. I feel great!!! Only thing I had was gas pains but they tell you to walk, walk walk. It really helps. I have no trouble getting drinks down on this liquid diet. So I hope everything works out for you[emoji23]!

  12. I don't drink soda at all. It isn't good for you before surgery or after. I was told to stay away from it in nut classes. But when someone disagree with what you're saying than they have to find out the hard way!
  13. Can you have hot decaf tea with stevia sweetener as part of liquid?
  14. I like crystal light mixed with vitamin water. Decaf tea.
  15. Congratulations! I was nervous too. But was glad to get it done. Not bad as I thought it would be. Just a lot of gas but walking around really helps with that. Walk,walk,walk,[emoji3]!
  16. I am 5 days post op. I have not gotten on scale yet nut I know I lost weight because I can see it When I look in mirror. I lost 7 lbs on liquid diet 2 days before surgery. After being in hospital with Iv in for fluids I gained 7lbs back. I knew I gained because my fingers were swelling. I will get on scale in 2 days when I go for follow up.
  17. I am 5 days post op and I have trouble Getting 64 fl ounce of liquid in. I get my protein in. My stomach grumble at times but I still have gas. I walk around and belch and it goes away or I use Gasx.

  21. Well try it! There is a reason for everything.
  22. I did notice that when I take a gasx it goes away.
  23. I am using six star whey isolate chocolate. Unable to post picture of ingredient. I do see a small amt of milk and soy in it. I am lactose intolerance. I did not have a problem before surgery drinking it. What other kind of whey isolate is suggested?
