Sick
You might try Benefiber as well... my doc was ok with it during liquid, but check with yours. I find that it helps both bulk it up & get it out, heh. It's a win-win for me!

Heh, the best part is that we don't have to go to "General" & say, "Anyone else 9 weeks out?" We know a bunch of folks who are! Wow, Cashley, you broke into Onederland!! :clap2::high5::peace: Congratulations!!!!! :hail::first::party:

What Goddess are you?
Heh, the next time I use the "dumb blonde" excuse, I'll have to remember that I have depth! LOL.

Fills
Awww, go get the fill, it'll help you lose the weight! Seriously, tell the doc you're really afraid of needles & maybe they can be a little more gentle with you -- and make sure you don't see the scary thing! You can do it! (( Hugs!! ))

February 2006 bandsters unite!!
Mikey told me yesterday that you are only as old as you feel, heh. I feel 26... forever! On the movement... ya gotta start slow, but ya gotta start! Stand up right now... yes, RIGHT NOW, Private! 1. Reach up high... as high as you can. 2. Now reach down low... as low as you can go. Repeat that 5 times... slowly! Remember to breathe! Now, standing with your arms ready to balance you: 1. Lift your right leg out -- like you're marching in a band... make the knee bend 90 degree angle (i.e. get those knees up high!) 2. Count 1. 3. Repeat it on the left leg. 4. Count 2. Keep lifting left, right, left, right until you get to a count of 10! Now hug yourself & say, "I did good! I move my body every day!" You'd better be moving, Private! I just stood up & did it... if I can, you can! I'll check in with you tomorrow & we'll do some more lifts & add something else. Start slow... but do something EVERY day! We'll get there!

Question
You could always just bookmark it. I have the Texas board bookmarked because I don't like having to delve down to find it. (I do have a ton of bookmarks, lol, I'm a bookmark freak!)

February 2006 bandsters unite!!
Wow, pthrlisa! 51 pounds!!! BIG congrats!! What does having a horseshoe kidney entail? I've never heard of that! Hope you're ok! And welcome back to the chatty thread! I'm thinking of you, Stacey! Let us know how that doctor appointment goes! You should be on your way, I think.... That's so cool that you got to see your new nephew on webcam, hope the adoption goes smoothly! And size 14 shorts, woohooooo!!! That's awesome! And we want pics! LBT got the edit function back, so I'll update the front page, yay!! And I won't have to start a new thread... yet. I think there's a limit to how many times you can edit, but we haven't hit it yet! The weekend was pretty good for us, though I fell yesterday & banged myself up pretty good. I hate being clumsy! We're just about over our colds, thank goodness! What an awful week! Oh, we had lunch with the DFW LBTers on Sat, what fun! DonnaB was there! She acts all innocent on here, lol, but she's trouble! And great fun! Can't wait for our next get together! My commitment for this week is to keep my calories under my fitday goal & to exercise more then my goal (just 1 min more, heh)... thereby having more calories out then calories in & losing weight. If only I could say it & have it be done! Love ya'll! Here's to a great week! Janet

Committment Thread to lose weight
Hi Jan! That sounds like you're making an awesome commitment to yourself! You can do it! And congrats on your 45 pounds since Dec, that's awesome!! And all your exercising, that's awesome! And should help you not plateau as badly as some of us. Sorry to hear about your husband & mom, hope they're both doing better!! I've been REALLY falling down on my commitment to myself. Thank goodness the band really doesn't let me cheat full out! Here's to getting back on the bandwagon! If it's to be, it's up to me! The me I see is the me I'll be! Today I will make a difference! Today I will create the me of tomorrow! Today I will conquer my addictions, 1 bite at a time! Today I will move my body & burn those calories! Today I will work my plan & change my tomorrow! Oh, and welcome home, Penni (sometime today)! Glad you're back!

constipation anyone???
A couple of the Feb Bandsters had their first fill disappear... something about air in the band from the surgery / evaporation. Their doctors took it in stride... though I'm not sure I would! I'm pretty sure their 2nd fill stayed in ok, so there wasn't any leak. You might try Benefiber once you get things moving again... it dissolves in Water & is pretty much tasteless. I put it in tea & can't taste it at all. It keeps me moving. However, it is just Fiber... if you're already backed up, it may not do the trick. Sounds like you need Milk of Magnesia or something! Good luck!

Please Help Nurse Needed Look at Picts
Ouch!!! I don't really have any advice, except maybe alchohol or something? I know that's what I use on my ears, lol. At least call your doctor before you do anything, though! Don't want anything to hurt the incision! Maybe some Benedryl lotion to decrease your reaction? (Just throwing out ideas.) Good luck! Let us know what happens!

What do you call yours?
I'm thinking of calling mine "Tunnel Rat". We heard a talk today... if you've been banging your head against a wall for forever & the wall isn't dented, then find another way to win! Why not try the tunnel! The band is my secret tunnel! But since I don't wanna be talking about my rat, lol, I'll have to find something else to call it!

Heh, I almost feel that my opinion is important at the moment I read something... but then when things go south, I wish I was never involved, and I really hate when I start getting quoted & the quote makes someone mad. I'm very much a people pleaser & avoid confrontation whenever possible! I do believe it's a pathological condition!

good morning foods
Maybe yogurt? Or fruit? Breakfast buffets normally have good fruit... or oatmeal. Love me some oatmeal! Pack some Protein Bars for "just in case". Vacation in Mexico sounds lovely!!

Surgery in the morning!!
Wow, Lee, good luck!! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! I think it's awesome to see someone go for banding after having repair work done! If I have problems, my plan is to get rebanded (at least from my current perspective). I'll be watching your story with interest! Remember to sip & walk! (Heh, like you didn't know that!) (( Hugs!! ))

Edit button is back!
So you can get rid of everything you said... but not the fact you were there. Heh, sometimes I just wanna go away & hide!!!! **sigh** Oh well, I'm just happy to be able to edit the front pages again!

Stretching the pouch
You have a large band (my hubby does too)... it'll probably take more like 6cc or even more to get a "good" restriction. Focus on practicing the bandster rules during this adjustment period... when the restriction hits, you'll be glad you know how to take small bites, chew & wait! 30 pounds in 3 months is awesome!! Congrats!!
