  1. I did a quick Google search about this. Man! I can't believe that **** weasel of a butcher is still practicing medicine! He is foul! If I were a terrible person I'd wish he's meet a butcher of equal evil in a dark alley. Oh wait I'm not good, I'm Sin! Yay! Now I can hope he gets a lobotomy!
  2. That's just unacceptable! I'm so sorry you have to wait that long. Maybe you can reserch other clinics int the area? Let them know what's going on. You won't have to redo those six months as long as your current office releases the medical records to your new office. Think of it this way. Would you wait 5 months to fix your car that could die at some point? Or would you find a new mechanic? You are so much more important then any car sis!
  3. Manic depression, and of course all the aches and pain that come with being morbidly obese. I'm pretty fucked up. Had to partially lie to the shrink during this entire process.
  4. My date used to be December 5th but my insurance company denied me due to Cannibas use. They said I'd have to be off for a year before they'd consider an approval. I said no f**king way and appealed on the grounds that I'm licensed medical marijuana patient. Took about a week due to the holiday before I called and got the decision. Approved. Damn right. My doc got the ball rolling and my new date is January 15. Good luck everyone!
  5. Lesbian sleever here! Surgery is in January. Can't wait!
  6. I'm from Michigan as well! I live in the Southeast. My surgery date in January and I'm beyond excited.
  7. I couldn't believe no one has started this thread! My date is January 15th! Let's do this together guys!
  8. No all strains of cannabis cause the munchies. But I can see where that would be an issue for some. I myself have been working hard as hell post op. I want to be as small as possible with a great exercise routine before my surgery in January. So far so good! No issues in regards to muchies for many reasons. I know I don't allow myself food after a certain time point blank. 2 I don't keep unhealthy munchie food where I have access too it. You just have to work on personal willpower (not you personally ^.^ ) I'm still working on mine!
  9. I'll definitely have my proper medicine on hand after my surgery. It's legal where I am as well. I have the pleasure of growing my own meds and I grow organic. They can keep the painkillers because once I leave the hospital I wont need them. I myself love being stoned but I hardly ever get that high these days. To many responsibilities. No one would have an idea that I'm high unless I told them. My doctor knows I vape. He knows I will continue to do so. No reason to lie to your doctor. They work for you
  10. god. Back in the good old days some people got all up in arms simply because someone use the "wrong" drinking fountain. Now it's bathrooms. Sorry but there were no good old days.
  11. SMH

I never got the big deal about this. eNot just here either but every forum in existence has people that hate this. I completely get if you're not adding anything of value to an old post then don't. If you do by all means necro that thread! The reason I say that is because it's usually forums that have been around for YEARS. The moment you ask a questions or post a topic it's "did you search for this answer?" Most of the time the answer is the first thing that pops up in a google because it's a popular question. Of course that thread may be active for months to come. Long after the OP is gone. I'd rather see a necro thread than see same thing posted over a over.
  12. Ive not had my procedure yet but I hope I do feel some hunger every few hours or so once ive healed up some. That just sounds normal.
  13. I won't be surprised if most doctors and hospitals still have their own "bariatric program" They'll probably be similar in length just to stay competitive. Ultimately a lot of customers/patients are going to be looking at going to whatever place can get them to surgery day the quickest.
  14. Just wanted to thank to thank Creek for this post. Really good information and research links. Will definitely be saving this for when I'm in maintenance planning my long-term eating habits. Please kee[ right now wacking that dead horse. I need this info. Thank you.
  15. Find an online calculator that will estimate your Max heart rate for exercise. Of course, you're going to want to get a heart rate monitor for exercise so you can track your rate. You want to stay in that target zone for as you work out. When you're out of shape you'd be surprised how little you have to exert yourself to bring your heart rate up to that fat burning zone. The opposite is true if you're more in shape
  16. I wonder if It would work with a Rick Simpson oil mixture? That way instead of it smelling like a bowl of ****, it'll smell like a bowl of Vanilla Kush!
  17. Send it. And I agree with Ed_NW who said to mention you put this on social medical. It may or may not make a difference for you, but I'm telling you this as someone who worked in Healthcare my whole career life. I've worked in MD offices, hospitals, and Nursing homes, and Insurance companies. Unless your MD is private practice, he's got a boss. Medical groups HATE bad press. Don't edit out any of your feelings. Your letter sounds like it came from a real person. Just do it!
  18. 've never used this stuff so I wouldn't know how it works. Don't know if it actually removes the bad odor and replaces it with smell nice, or just attempts to mask it with smell nice like air fresher. I'd rather just smell ****. Not roses covered in ****. ?‍♀️
  19. Interestingly enough although I work for BCBSM, I can't don't have access to information for the Medicaid side of this business. I know a lot of plans updated their requirements this year. I'm hoping someone could give me the Bariatric requirements for BCBS complete. Thanks!
  20. I think that's the fat brain at play. I haven't had surgery yet but in the past when I lost significant wait on my own I would look at clothes and swear they were too small for me. Yet when I put them on they would fit. I think we're just so used to being bigger and it takes a minute for our brain to realize the truth.
  21. Oh goodness! Two whole bottles?! I'm sitting here frowning at my crystal light. I'm on my way to you right now! lol Hey it's OK, I'm only teasing
  22. Woot you've got this! I'm not I'm from Southeast MI but we're still fam! Cutting out the pop (WTF is soda ?) was super hard. I miss my MTN Dew. All that caffeine *drools*
  23. I work for BCBSM so I'm a bit biased. I don't know what state you're in, but in Michigan, we get **** done! I switched from Molina to BCBSM before I even started working for them because Molina had crazy requirements at the time. Particularly in length of the supervised visits. Switch girl switch! You can always change insurance back later and get your PCP back if that doctor means that much to you. 6 months is half a year. That's more than enough time to wrap your head around everything.
  24. I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. Shouldn't your BMI have qualified you for a fast track or something? When are the insurance providers going to look at all the studies done on the efficacy of pre-op requirements? All the data and research says it's not necessary. Sure the nutritionist and psychiatrist are great but they shouldn't be gatekeepers, but guides during the whole journey.
  25. So what you're saying is. You took a test to see how well you could swallow and It looked like your throat had a penis in it? So what's the problem? ?
