Hey everyone! I'm 8 days post-op.
Was wondering if anyone else feels a weird, burning feeling in the throat and chest after drinking? it kind of feels like heartburn. It's very odd. Am i the only one or do others experience this as well? xoxo

43, 5'11, and 275ish (BMI 38+) w/extreme severe apnea. Insurance is a go, 1st meeting w/surgeon is Mar15th to start my plan, then it's ON like Donkey Kong.
I just wanna ride rollercoasters again. Oh... and live longer and stuff.

I had surgery 2/21. I feel like my taste buds are extra sensitive and i can taste every ingredient in the food and drinks i consume . For example, when i drink Water from a water bottle, i can taste the plastic. And when i have anything with Protein in it, i can taste the protein. Does anyone else have heightened taste buds since surgery??

Nope, you can't pick up more than 10 pounds the first 2-3 weeks. then after that you can't pick up more than 20 for another 2 weeks. The time-off post surgery is about a month, but i would let your body tell you if you should go back to work or not depending on how you feel!
