Very emotional after the sleeve procedure
I started feeling like that at about 4-6 weeks post op and it's bad at times BUT I also felt like this after c-section & breast reduction. It's actually not uncommon for people to have ptsd after a procedure.

What do you wish you would have know pre-op?
My doc didn't prescribe this! I'm going to inquire. I also heard there's a medication for gallstone prevention

What do you wish you would have know pre-op?
There are a few for me, I knew about reflux but didn't know SOOOO many suffer from it long term & possibility of needing revision if adaquete weight loss was not reached/etc. I personally never want to undergo another bariatric wls.

April 3rd Sleeve
I honestly crushed sf popsickles & mixed it with water & ice to make a "slushee" for first few weeks because I wanted to get as much liquid as possible. I am almost 8 weeks out and can ONLY consume one or two bites before needing to take a break. I also did have buyers remorse but only cause I was self pay & my husband just changed jobs & I could've gone through them for procedure, lol. Sorry about your trip to the ER, just try to sip, sip all day, set reminders on your phone if you need to. It's easy for me to forget to sip at times, but I can drink more at once than week 1,2,3 and so forth.

Being too sensitive or not?
Yes! Wls isn't a cure but a tool SOME need! I have a family history of diabetes, heart disease, hypertension & etc. I just wanted a chance to live a healthier life. I couldn't have done it without this tool.

Long term vsg implications
I will be happy to see how the data on the vsg changes within the next 10-20 years. I am interested in seeing more long term data on the effects of the surgery. I was watching a lady on YouTube who has neuropathy , partial digestion & a host of other issues. She said there was no proof it was a result of the vsg as it was 4.5 years out. I'm also wondering if those with severe anemia, didn't take there meds/b12? I am just rambling more than anything.

I agree, when I had each of my surgeries I was "off" for a few weeks.

Has Anyone Had a Second Sleeve?
Yes I have heard of quite a few people doing a sleeve to sleeve revision due to no weight loss or over eating and truly expanding it. YouTube has videos of it. I personally wouldn't want to redo anything, get strict and get back on track! Gl to you.

Taste Buds - acting weird
Taste Buds do seem to change even if temporarily. I personal hate all soups as I did post op. Water Plain is gross & I need lemon to be able to drink it. I guess it just depends.

Did anyone here not need this (yet)?
Yes it is sad! It's anything but easy. That's forsure. Sorry to hear about your mom.

Did anyone here not need this (yet)?
That hat is amazing! I was just talking with girls at work about weight. I'm "411" so 235 pds was just a DEATH sentence for my small frame. I was having hip and joint pain, almost prediabetic & had tried to lose on my own for 5 years. I truly believe wls is a tool that increases life expectancy! I about died when I read that obesity cuts life expectancy by 15 years.

My doctor lied to me
So after your surgery, you didn't feel any restrictions as far as eating goes? That is just sad and scary that you went through this!
