  1. 31 pds in 3 months? That's an awesome loss! I would personally prefer to lose slow vs rapidly but it seems to be out of my control. I'm down 43 pds since my surgery date 10 weeks ago. I think it's important to realize everyone has their own journey and our bodies are different. chin up, you're doing awesome!
  2. I concur! I love hearing advice from people 2+ years out, gives me hope, courage & motivation!
  3. I am not far out but thes are good questions! What initially attracted me to VSG was the fact that I would never feel hungry again but I have learned that the gherlin returns..as far as regain is concerned I think people fall into bad habits & thus gain weight. I have also heard of slow digestion for some as a reason but please take my 2 cents with a grain of salt as I learned this from others stories.
  4. You have to do what's best for you! Once you have it done that's it, no going back. I was nervous leading up to my procedure but I did it! And I feel I had no choice. I was 235 pds at 4"11 yoyed for 6 years and was borderline diabetic & I think I have undiagnosed pcos from the weight gain over the years. I couldn't live another year like that. Hope you find comfort in your decision.
  5. This makes me feel I did best choice by not getting lap band! Vsg is a great tool and is very popular. I would research and do hw before making decision! Best of luck to you
  6. Congrats to you on your pregnancy
  7. I feel I didn't ask enough, it was "I'm prediabetic and done trying on my own, I'm having wls". I wish I would've asked more, but my mind was made up. Good luck
  8. I dreamt about carne Asada fries a week ago. Lol.
  9. That's the best way to look at it. I'm just glad you came out on the other side. I am sorry you had to go through that.
  10. Ohhh, we'll definitely look into the dr's findings and take careful consideration in regards to if it can affect you post op or what not.
  11. Initial consultation, or post op? I am unsure of what that is
  12. I experienced this also I was a few weeks out and would feel shaky and could not sleep, heart was racing & everything. I think some of it was stress related for me.
  13. Hope you feel better!
  14. I was outpatient as well! 3/13/2017 no issues. Everything was fine.
  15. Oh, well either way good luck on your journey
  16. When you say eat a lot, how much are you talking? Like you could preop? You don't feel restriction?
  17. "Don't Really feel like it's a victory to lose something I should have never gained in the first place". Oh my god this is LITERALLY how I feel!
  18. Well I am far from disillusioned, I read a 5 year study about regain and WLS patients. I have every intention of utilizing my sleeve to help me continue to lose & maintain. There are many people who are successful and they are further out than you. Everybody's journey is different. I would enoucrage any interested in WLS to look at success stories as well as those who didn't make it to where they wanted to.
  19. I am just glad I made this choice for myself. No matter what I did before I couldn't stop eating and was never full. My stomach was a bottomless pit haha. This surgery is merely a tool & I have already made major changes to my lifestyle at only 9 weeks out. Seeing myself physically change is just an incentive. I also have regular bowel movements
  20. Oh my goodness, so sorry about what you have gone through. I know one thing, you are super strong and resilient! Prayers going out to you. Hoping you heal & feel better. Get plenty of rest
