  1. @mom2tess Thank you! And your 50lbs is amazing! I have been following my protein and water goals. I started walking 3-4 days a week slowly adding more to my route.I also do aerobic exercises every other day. I know aerobics is so 80s, but it seems to be helping me out.
  2. @crouster Thank you! I find motivation on this app all the time too. Congrats on the 27lbs!!@mom2tess
  3. Today I am 2 months + 1day past my operation. I am down 55 lbs. But this journey is more than just the weight loss. This journey is about rediscovering myself. For the last 9yrs I have hid myself in the roles of being a wife and a mother. The heavier I got, the less I did. I became a bystander to my life. And worse, to my kids life. This surgery has given me my courage back. My confidence. My sense of a adventure. The day I had my surgery I started walking and have not stopped. Today I walked my 1st 5k. And I signed up for 2 more this summer. I cannot believe I am a 5k'er. I went in to this surgery thinking I would lose weight and get healthier. I never considered I would find myself along the way!
  4. Protein bars are a good option. They can fill you up and help you get your protein in.

  20. Good luck to all of you. I am almost a month post op. I'm not gonna say it is a cake walk, but the recovery was physically easier than my 2 csections. Drinking fluids becomes a daily job, but it's not the worst. You have to listen to your body. If you're tired, make time to rest. You all made a wonderful decision to change your life, fear is natural. Sending you all positive vibes!
  21. You look amazing! And so much younger!!!
  22. I am a candy junkie. Every and all. I am almost a month post op. I have a little craving this week with all the Easter candy around. I felt the urge and didn't slip bc I know I can't be trusted. I know this is going to be a life long battle. My surgeon said it's like quitting smoking. The addiction is real and people like me use it for a coping mechanism. But I have to say I have noticed from my preop diet to now, my craving isn't as strong as it use to be. My fingers are crossed for all of us sugar junkies.
  23. You look phenomenal!!
  24. Yes!!! My nut told me not to give it. It can take a few times to like it again, but it was gagging I don't want to try anytime soon. I'm hoping some seafood still tastes good!!!
