  1. I did the same thing! Don't forget to get chapstick!!! That is my number 1 advice for surgery.
  2. Don't forget chap stick. You will be very dry after surgery, especially your lips. I couldn't get enough chap stick!
  3. Thank you all. I went with hernia surgery! And worked like a charm! The funny thing is that it is no secret that I am fat. I get that. I've always gotten that. But this surgery feels like my super power tool that I want to keep for myself....right now anyway. And I am not in the right place yet to explain to people why I went this route. I love this app and all of you because you all know exactly what it is to be like to be the fat friend and now to be the one making this huge decision. I wish you all well. And I thank you for being here for me.
  4. Thank you ladygg1967!!!
  5. 5 days post op and going to a party tonight. Of course it's a pot luck party and everyone brings a dish. I have my bottle of crystal light ready. I haven't told any of my friends about this surgery and I don't think I am ready to tell them yet. Is it wrong just to say I am in a diet? Does that make me a bad person for omitting the big truth??
  6. Feeling good. My one incision site is sore. But other than that I am up and about. Right now I am on clear liquids. Monday I can start adding protein back into my diet.
  7. Checking in to see how everyone is feeling!!!
  8. If you really need a pair, go to a thrift store. No point spending full cost on a pair of pants that won't fit you for long.
  9. I had my surgery on the 20th. The first thing the nurse told me was to avoid the scale for the next 2 weeks. During surgery they pump you full of air. Plus you probably had an IV giving you continuous fluids. She told me that it is not out of the norm to gain 5 lbs because of this. Your body is healing and you have to give it time to catch up.
  10. My doctor allowed water and ice chips last night. And that was a god send because I was so dry. I'm already home and chilling. When do u get to leave
  11. I am actually feeling pretty well. Already on my way home. The first 6 hours after surgery were a little hard with being nauseated. But once the meds kicked in, I was much better.
  12. Well yesterday morning, the 20th, I was sleeved. My good byes worked on my preop diet. My surgeon said my liver looked beautiful due to lack of sugar. And I lost 17lbs. Now, the hard part will really start because it's realizing there's no going back now. This is my new future. This will be our future....but you know what? We got this. If you had a moment of weakness....do not hate yourself for it. Admit it and move on. Just like alcoholics take it day by day....so do we with our food. IIA sending good vibes to all of you.
  13. That is so funny because I spent yesterday cleaning the house and doing laundry. Today I did grocery shopping. My husband said I am acting like I'm nesting again LOL.
  14. Good luck to you as well!!!!! We are going to the Losers Bench together!
  15. I am tomorrow. Checking in at 845. I am nervous too. Like I researched and feel prepared but honestly feel like I can't expect it until I go through with it. But we got this. We are stronger than our food addiction. We deserve a new and better life.
  16. Pre Op diet since March 10th [emoji818] Rocked it like a boss [emoji818] Check in tomorrow at 8:45am [emoji818] Nerves starting to get the best of me [emoji818][emoji818][emoji818] Any one else tomorrow?
  17. Monday can't come fast enough. So ready!!
  18. I got the call. Monday morning at 845!!!! It just got real!!!!!

  20. Have you tried Protein2o? It's protein water and the only thinking helping me on my pre op liquid only diet. It comes in different flavors. I love grape and mixed berry.
  21. Congratulations on your weight loss!!!! That is tremendous and gives me such hope!
  22. Thank you everyone. I have happy tears from all of you.
