  1. Congrats! And better words I have never read, "if you follow your doctor's advice, it will work!"
  2. Figuring that 2/3 of your stomach juices are now not working, it makes sense that many of the body hormones are a bit alternated in the way they we work.
  3. It's good that you are reaching out. [emoji3]
  4. You muuuuuust follow the nuts instructions! [emoji12]
  5. Yup, the hard work will be the mentality you have, and you use.
  6. That is one impressive fact. One cinder block!
  7. I had cancer, with the complete removal of my prostate. Doc says no problem. Not the same hiv, but still a major potential complication which needed to be looked at before vsg.
  8. Do what your nutritionist tells you to do.
  9. But remember, "Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind".
  10. Love it! Where did you get that medallion?
  11. Follow the nutritionists advice.
  12. See my comments later....
  13. I'm gonna tell ya, son Diet coke has no calories, for sure. But...my freinds, it causes me to make bad decisions, bad choices. Think. Gulping down DC. Chicken wings? OK, just a few. Bread? Of course, what a simple thing! DC w/o fries? Perish the thought. And how, simple the move from one DC to another, to another, to a, blooming onion! Fucks me it does. Sorry for the crude thoughts, but it surely does. ☹
  14. How about 61 and 325 pounds? Looking at vsg for 7/17.
  15. Hey! Being overweight has caused me many jobs. I'd try part time jobs, but loose them because I was just too much of a pain, to me physically and the boss emotionally, to successfully do these jobs.
  16. The minimal risk of death by surgery is the only reason I am telling my family. Just in case, you know...
  17. Being scared is normal, but remember, how you let it effect you is all up to you. We'll all be here with you though, at least in spirit.
  18. Wanna hear a good one? Last June, 2016 I decided to go the vsg road. We had planned on a Xmas holiday vsg (I am special ed teacher at a high school). That makes a 7 month prep period. Well.. Then my wife found out she needed a new hip! Immediately! So... my surgery was delayed until late at least spring (I had to shovel snow, as she would not be able to.) Hi Complications, so I am pushed out till at least July 2017. If I get the vsg in July, that's will mean a 13 month "prep" period. But I am using this time to really get the best nutrition habits I can.
  19. Here in Boston we will be getting 12 - 18 inches of snow. What's spring Phil?
