    Almost 1 year out?!

I don’t really know what I’ll do to celebrate.. I would normally eat something terrible but since that’s not a good idea, maybe my wife and I will go on a date or something..

Sometimes it helps to take some pictures!

Thank you! I have always been rather confident [emoji6] lol but getting healthy certainly helps too!
  6. Hw-274 Sw-268 Cw- 193 Sleeved 12-19-16 Last month I has the same issue! I was stuck at 205 - 203 for 3 weeks! I continually exercise and was staying between 600-800 calories (mostly protein rich foods) a day and 60-90 grams of protein per my NUT. I upped my calories and carbs this month and continued my 3 mile daily walks and I've lost 12 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks... may be worth asking your doctor about.

    Mother's Day Surprise

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!! Mother's Day was extra wonderful this year. In addition to spending the day with my AMAZING twins AND lovely wife, I had a surprise on the scale. I made it to onederland!! I recently moved my scale so I wouldn't be so dependent on weighing and could focus more on how I feel. Well I casually popped in for a weigh and saw "198.4"!! Thought I would share my good news!! I hope everyone is doing well!

    SLOW going...

Sleeved 12-19-2016 Hw-274 Sw-268 Cw- 203 Gw- 175 This forum is totally my sounding board.. lol Here I sit, almost, 5 months out of surgery, 71 lbs down from my high weight, and feeling bad about my progress... I feel like my lose has slowed dramatically. Only losing about 10lbs a month. Hair falling out by the handfuls. Still struggle with my protein intake. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing the overall progress I've made, just the day to day is a struggle. Also, anyone avoiding buying cloths? I find myself avoiding buying cloths because I am afraid to try things on that may be too small.... I have been wearing the same pants to work since right after surgery. As you can imagine, they look ridiculous but I can't seem to give them up. In the back of my head, I think, "save them for when you're fatter again"..... surgery doesn't fix the mind.. that's all on us. I also find myself hating when people say I'm "getting skinny". My head says, "I'm nowhere close to skinny and never will be" and "Sssshhhh, don't jinx it!!" Anyway.. just ranting really.. I hope everyone is progressing and loving life!!!!

    Just curious..

I have never been very good with remembering where I started. I always focus on where I need to be,(which is why I have failed in the past), so I've been taking before and after pictures which has really helped me stay positive and believe in the process. Lol my doctor set a goal for me to be at or below 200 by April 14th... I really have to amp up my exercise! I am due for a lose about now. My personal goal is 174 by August 19th.. that would be 100 lbs in 8mths.

    Just curious..

First, congrats on your progress!!!! I just bought my vitamins from Walmart. I know the Bariatric specific are supposed to be better but they made me nauseous. I take B-12, calcium, d-3, c and biotin combo. Also protonix which has helped with my nausea SO much! I used to drink a ton of water but right after surgery I came down with pancreatitis and all I could keep down was water for 42 days... so I struggle with my water intake. I do 60-80 grams of protein a day and stay between 600-800 calories a day. Compared to what I've read, my calories seem low but that's what my NUT said so...600-800 it is! I take a 2 mile walk or do a Jillian Michaels workout 3-4 days a week.. I need to step up my exercise and I could give a list of excuses why I can't .. 1 year old twins.. work.. sleep.. but they are all just that.. excuses! Also, I keep stalling for like 2-3 weeks then lose 6-10 lbs in a week..

Forgot i was on post liquid diet!!!

I have forgotten. I was tearing up a piece of toast for the little ones and popped a piece in my mouth without thinking. I also took a huge drink of Water after a good workout... ouch! As long as we learn as we go, I'm sure it will all be fine.

    December sleevers

I feel the same way. Sleeved 12/19 and I'm down 50lbs from my starting weight but my weight loss keeps stalling. Like 2, 3 week stalls so far [emoji30] I guess there is no "normal" in this so I just keep trucking along. Good luck to you!

    New to this whole thing!

I was sleeved Dec. 19th and have lost 45 lbs so far. My best advice is, beware of the 3 week stall! Right at 3 weeks I stalled for 3 weeks!! After doing some research, I found that it is a very common occurrence. I wish I would have know ahead of time. Good luck!!
