  1. Oh wow!! I don't have to do the liquid diet. I think my family would disown me. I am hoping the 3 weeks of liquid after surgery will go smoothly. I was wondering the same thing with my insurance company. My surgeons office filed the paperwork. I did speak to my insurance company before they filed the papers to see what my coverage was. but, that is it. I would like to call, but like you am afraid to interfere. I guess we have every right to know what's going on though. how old are your children? My boys are 3 and 6. Fun times!!!
  2. Cheryl Ann, I have a surgery date set for April 15th and have not heard from my insurance yet. I am soooo hoping for approval. I really don't want to make a later date. I've been trying so hard to keep a positive outlook on the whole process. This is just a small part of the journey. Where are you having yours done? Best of luck! I sure it will all come together.
  3. I just read the book you are speaking of. I found it very interesting, but frustersting because she had the RNY. Do you know of any books that focus more on the band? I first heard the quote in weight watchers. I am hoping the band will help me to really remember that nothing tastes as good as thin feels. Best of luck to you!
  4. I too am new to Lapland. I am impatiently awaiting insurance approval. I am so excited I can't stand it. Maybe we'll be banded around the same time. It would be neat to compare notes. Anyway, best of luck to you!!!
  5. Thank you for your support. It looks like you are doing fabulous with the band. It's nice to know that there are so many people out there that this procedure has worked for. What do you think the most important advice is for a soon to be bander? I had my appointment with my pcp today and I actually lost 2 pounds. I think I am just becommming more aware of what I am putting in my mouth. 3 out of my 5 reccomended books arrived today. 2 of them are cook books for after surgery and one has a little bit of everything. Can't wait to get reading. Anyway, Thank you again for your support. I am so happy to have found this site!!:Dancing_biggrin:
  6. Hi! My name is Mariah and I am new to LapBandTalk. I am planning on having the lapband surgery. I am waiting for my insurance approval and surgery date. My surgeon is Dr. Cirangle. I am so excited. I have been reading so many posts. This is a great site! I' ve been having a huge problem controlling my eating since my final decision. I did well for about a week, but as my as usual, when I get nervous or emmotional I overeat. I can't wait until that is no longer an option. I am hoping for a surgery date in April(hopefully mid). I've been contemplating this for two years now. I wish I had decided to follow through two years ago, but I guess I just wasn't ready. Any way I'd love to make some friends that have or will be going through some of the same issues I am.
