  2. Congratulations you are almost there! It's such a long process. Keep us all posted on how you are doing. [emoji254][emoji177]
  3. Wow! Simply gorgeous! How many months post surgery? [emoji254][emoji177]
  4. 7 months! Wow! You look so gorgeous and young! I'm 38 and also 5'7, I hope I look even half as good as you when I get close to my goal weight! My goal personal weight is 150-155. I have about 100 to lose to get there and I should be able to finally schedule my surgery next month. Enjoy the single life, I find it is so much more peaceful and happier than being in a bad relationship. You are doing & looking so fabulous! [emoji254][emoji177]
  5. I started in March with the 16 week Move program and had to get through that before getting to do anything else, it does take time to get through everything we need to. I tried so many diets and workouts before and haven't been too successful with getting my weight down either. I eat a pretty strict boring diet already and I have liver issues which doesn't make it easy to lose the weight. Sometimes we need extra help to get healthier.
  6. If you're doing this great already, can you just imagine how much further and better you will be and feel by your one year surgery anniversary, it'll be incredible!
  7. I'm so close to being ready for a surgery date. I have only 3 appointments with the nutritionist and the psych eval left before I see the surgeon and get my surgery date. Everything else I already have done.
  8. Good luck with the rest of your journey, you're doing fantastic so far. After the Navy I gained a lot of weight too and had a divorce and have been raising my son by myself, I understand the craziness of life and the stress that comes with it. We both got this man! I'm still awaiting my surgery date and preparing myself a little more every day to get where I need to be. We're all doing this to better our health in the long run. Keep doing what you are doing!
  9. I don't have my surgery date yet or anything, but I have read on here that after surgery you are restricted to being able to pick up only 10 pounds for a while, sometimes even for a couple months for some. I don't drive and bring a cart on the bus to do my grocery and household shopping every month, sometimes I'm pulling over 100 pounds up a hill at a time. This includes things like cat food and kitty liter and having food not just for myself but to feed my son too. I have major anxiety issues so I try doing all the shopping for the month within a few days, so I don't have to be out in busy places so much. I'm wondering how long it took everyone until you can lift and pull really heavy stuff again without hurting yourself and damaging your sleeve? ♡ Elysia

  12. Maybe try taking any med you have difficulty with a bite or few of applesauce, that's how I used to get my son to take medications easier. It's worth a try. ♡ Elysia
