  1. It still has a head gear piece, but the pillows just basically plug into your nostrils. It is much more comfortable than a full mouth and nose mask. I would talk to your bariatric surgeon about if it will delay you or not. I just had to bring my cpap the day of surgery so I could wear it in recovery. 2. I have sleep apnea, it didnt cause a delay with my surgery. It is a comorbidity and could actually help your insurance approval. I don't wear a mask, I use nasal pillows and they aren't bad. I am sure you will feel better once you get your cpap. I was stopping breathing 60 times an hour before my cpap. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. The Life Aquatic is a Wes Anderson movie as was The Royal Tennenbaums. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Check out The Life Aquatic, it's another favorite of mine it's a comedy. As far as dramas go, I recommend No Country For Old Men and also Shutter Island. Sci Fi, check out District 9 Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I think it depends on the guy. I have dated women of all kinds of body types, but have typically been attracted to thicker girls. I always loved curves and big boobs. I would never shame a woman because of her "rolls" or "cellulite" There are some shallow douchebags out there that might not want a second date with a woman because of her size. Like others have said, I probably wouldn't bring up WLS until after a few dates. Fortunately for me, my wife and I were sleeved together. Feel free to PM me if I can be of any further help. 6. It's the dialog. You have to pay close attention to the dialog, that's why it is a classic. The scene where Walter pulls the gun on Smokey for stepping over the line is done so well. John Goodman actually looks insane. And yes Walter is an a*****e and a terrible friend, but that's why it is so funny. Why would anyone be friends with such an a*****e? The whole thing about Walter watching his ex wife's dog while she is in Hawaii with her boyfriend, hilarious. "You brought a Pomeranian bowling?" "What do you mean brought it bowling? I'm not buying it a f*cking beer, I'm not renting it f*cking shoes, he's not taking your f*cking turn Dude" It's funny. One of my all time favorite movies. My username is John Goodmans character from that film. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. My wife and I both did. She thinks she could have benefitted from an overnight at the hospital. I was fine. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. I was the same way. I could chug water without any issue the day after surgery. I was convinced my doctor made my sleeve too big. The entire time I was on liquids I felt like my sleeve was too big. Now that I am on soft foods, I am sure my sleeve is not too big. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I am almost 4 weeks out and I am always hungry. I was starving the day after surgery. I guess everyone is different. I have lost 23 pounds since surgery. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Sleeved 08-31-17 Down 41 pounds total. 23 pounds since surgery. Blows my flipping mind. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Ha ha ha, I am glad we can laugh about it now. Also glad to see you have a sense of humor. Nice to see you feeling better. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Why do you need to lose so much? What is your current weight and bmi? Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. See, and you were just crying and regretting your decision like 5 days ago. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I am 3 weeks out and I have lost 80 pounds. Actually only about 40. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. Where do we do it on the website? I am not able to update my surgery section. How do we do it?
  16. I was sleeved 3 weeks ago. One thing I am struggling with is knowing when to stop eating. My brain doesn't realize my pouch is too full until it is too late. I end up eating about 3 more spoonfuls than I should. Then I am totally miserable and about to puke. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. It seems the app has limited functionality. I have noticed that it doesn't support all the features of the website. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. I am sure dating has changed. I am 38 and met my wife seven years ago on Match.com I don't know anything about these dating apps. Just focus on yourself right now. These next few months are going to be hard while preparing for surgery. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. I have noticed the same thing. The scale isn't budging but my body looks different. My shirts look too big now and my pants are literally falling off. I have to constantly pull them up at work. I fear the day I am not quick enough while walking to my desk and I end up standing there in my drawers. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. Do everything you can early on to get prepared. I didn't prepare enough before surgery and the change has been hard. I was so scared about surgery, that is all I thought about. I hadn't even thought about how hard life would be post surgery. I will hit you with a PM so we can chat some more. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. Welcome Stephers. I hope things go smoothly for you I too was scared by the surgery you are having. I was sleeved 20 days ago. It has been very hard adjusting to life without all the food I used to abuse. I miss eating away all my stress, but I know that had to stop if I want to live. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. Don't weigh yourself, it will just discourage you. I weighed myself today and there has been no change in 4 days. I am going to stop weighing myself. Also, my dietician said to expect about 1.5 pounds per week.@BunneyGirl don't be too hard on yourself and give yourself some time. This is a marathon not a sprint. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. It typically depends on what your insurance requirements are. Six months of working with a dietician and office visits seems to be the norm. Some insurance companies require less. You may be required to lose a certain amount of weight before hand. There is usually a psyche evaluation required. An ultrasound, and ekg, an egd. All kinds of stuff. It will be a lengthy process. Hope this helps. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. Maybe stick to full liquids and don't try soft foods yet? I don't know, just a thought. It sounds like just swallowing is causing you pain, so I don't know if that will help. If it were me, I would probably just do liquids for now. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. My dietician and doctor both said to expect about 1.5 pounds a weeks. So, if you could do 2 pounds a week times 52 weeks that would be over 100 pounds in a year. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
