Reset
I am in the same boat as you. I have hit a stall and I have fallen back into old habits. I have started drinking diet soda again, although trying to get away from it again, I am addicted to it again. I have been taking in WAY too many calories and I am not following the diet guidelines. I have been neglecting my protien intake and have introduced carbs again. Flour tortillas and bread and rice. I do notice my sleeve feels tighter in the morning after a nights sleep. I am hoping to reel things back in and trying to make better choices. I am down 80 pounds but need to lose another 75 to hit goal weight.

Mexico: Dr. Ramos Kelly Botched Surgery - LaurasVSG Tube
Just throwing my two cents in, I would NEVER go to Mexico for surgery.

GUTTED
I am sorry to hear this, don’t give up. You have come this far, the sleeve will still create significant weight loss. My wife had to have her hiatal hernia repaired and then had the sleeve like 2 or 3 months later. Just hang in there. What’s another two months? If you are like me, then you were obese for the better part of a decade. What will it hurt to wait an additional 2 months? Perspective my friend.

Intro time: who's new to the group, who's pre-op, & who just recently made it to the loser's bench?
Hello everyone. I had my VSG on 08-31-17 and I am down 80 pounds. I am happy the weight is coming off but things have been very hard. My wife and I got sleeved together and we have had lots of issues these past few months. We have come close to divorcing. Also, I am in recovery and had been sober for 9 years. I relapsed two weeks ago and I think not being able to abuse food anymore played a huge part in that. I am back in AA but the relapse just caused more issues for my wife and I. Don’t expect the surgery to fix all of your problems because it won’t.

My gastric sleeve story! Surgery on 12/5/17
I wasn’t permitted to try purée until 3 weeks out. Your surgeon is allowing it in week 1? Seems kind of rushed, but I am not a doctor.

Two month out ..... I'm very down !!!!
Sounds like a stall. I have hit the 3 month stall. Stay off of the scale it will only upset you. Is your body changing? Did you take measurements? How are your clothes fitting? Are you counting your calories? Drink lots of water. Don’t get discouraged the weight will come off.

stretching out the sleeve
You have already stretched it, you are screwed. All kidding aside, I don’t know. I am pretty sure I stretched mine. After 9 years of continuous sobriety, I relapsed on weed. I got f*cking baked and ate like a hog two days in a row and then thanksgiving. I had heard about alcoholics and addicts relapsing after WLS and I didn’t take it seriously. Back to counting the days of sobriety.

Anyone out there still wear their binder?
That is such a good point. I am down 70 pounds, but my lower back still hurts pretty bad on some days.
-
Anyone out there still wear their binder?
Because I am tough as nails. Of course I am joking. Why would I burn my drain site shut? It was an attempt at humor.
-
Sleeved 11/14
Move. Keep moving. A blood clot is serious and can be fatal. The gas will work itself out and the shoulder/chest pain should go away. Sip,sip, sip, water. Once the drain is pulled you should feel a little better too.

Pre op Liquid diet SOOOO hard
What others have said, you have to shrink your liver. If your liver is too swollen the surgeon could abort the procedure out of safety concerns. I am sure you do not want that. Stay focused, stay strong, keep motivated, focus on the goal. I had to remind myself that I had eaten enough pizza, fast food and China buffets to last a lifetime. Had to get it together before my surgery.

Anyone out there still wear their binder?
I have never heard of one and obviously didn’t use one. However, I am so hardcore I didn’t take any pain meds post surgery and I pulled my own drain and branded the hole shut with a hot fire poker.

My personal VSG journey take 2
As the weight is coming off my sex drive is coming back as well. My wife had her surgery 2 months before me and she has been super horny.

Feeling no restriction at all :(
I am 12 weeks out and feel hungry every two hours. Dense protein seems to keep me full longer, but I am essentially hungry every two hours.

Looking good. Doesn’t look like your breasts have been affected much. My wife’s titties are all but gone. She went from a Double D to like a B

One Month Out- Eating A LOT
I believe head hunger is a myth. Head hunger is like big foot or the Loch Ness monster. I feel real hunger and early on I was convinced my sleeve was too big. Try to do dense proteins to fill you up. Those tuna creations and salmon creations are pretty good and not terribly expensive.
