That is 44 days. When was the last time you lost 30 lbs in 44 days? I lost 33 lbs in the first 44 days after surgery. It's a good amount of weight loss. We started at the same place. You are doing good.

So I started at 255 2 weeks before, surgery at 243, the day I came back to work after 2.5 week after surgery (could have come before, but my back made it so I couldn't walk without extreme pain so I needed a nerve blockage 10 days after surgery) at 226 and people could already tell on my face. No one knew about the surgery.

If you have GERD, the sleeve should not be an option for you. Several people have had to convert their sleeve to a bypass because of GERD, so if you are already struggling, I would not consider the sleeve.

I use 24h clock, and that's it. I guess they should reteach English teachers around the world then, because they teach AM/PM as I have described over. I have been thought English in 4 different countries, including the UK and USA.

Well, must only be in Australia then, because everywhere where I have been where they use AM/PM it's used as posted in my previous post.

Meryline got a reaction from IzzyThea in Different kind of success pictures
December 2015 I had my first back surgery. I could hardly walk, and was heavily medicated with opioids to get through the day. Surgery was a success, until I had a relaps at the same place not even a year later. Long story short. I had 2 nerve blockages that worked for a while, but in the end, my surgeon said I needed to be operated on again.
We decided to wait and see if the wls would help my back. The pictures below are from March of this year, only 7 days after my wls, and from Saturday.
The herniation has been reduced to almost nothing, the spine covering the nerve is almost nothing, all due to loosing almost 90 lbs.
I see my neurosurgeon on Monday, but both I and my physical therapist are sure I won't be having the surgery I'm booked for on October 3rd.
If that is not a success story, I don't know what is.

Meryline reacted to FluffyChix in never made it to goal with some regain.
((hugs)) Sorry about your miscarriage and happy about your 2 children. If it were me, I would do 2 things now.
    1. Go see my WLsurgeon and get them to send me to a nutritionist and a therapist in that order. Start the 6 month documentation with the therapist now. Get to finally working on the eating behaviors that are keeping me heavy and down. Get all of my blood work done to r/o thyroid, endocrine issues and/or underlying medical conditions.
    2. Start working on getting an approval for revision to DS and find a surgeon in my network that can do that revision surgery--not all surgeons will or can do revisions to DS or RNY. Honestly, at this present weight and with the problems you had losing to goal with the VSG and if it was me, I'd go nuclear on my weight. DS is THEEEEEEEE most effective wl tool from a malabsorption standpoint--especially given what I think may also be the emotional/psychological eating issues associated with the regain and present weight.
BTW, no judgement here. We all deal with emotional/behavioral issues with food relationships that simply MUST be fixed if we want to have any hope of losing and keeping the weight off long term.

If you have GERD, the sleeve should not be an option for you. Several people have had to convert their sleeve to a bypass because of GERD, so if you are already struggling, I would not consider the sleeve.

I'm honestly surprised that you have cleared to run just a week after surgery. And now you are running and lifting on the same day. Most people are allowed to lift max 5kg for the first 3 weeks, and no running, just walking. The body is healing and should get as much energy as possible for that, not deplete it with exercise.
