Also, maybe a little less Protein, a little more fat? Excess Protein will be converted to glucose (carbs) and can slow you down. Give your body more of its preferred energy source in the way of healthy fats...coconut oil, MCT oil, etc...even if it means adding a couple hundred more calories a day. Can't hurt to try it for a couple weeks and wee what happens! [emoji4]
I just purchased coconut oil I’ll give it a try

Let’s try to check in with each other on this thread at least once a month. This is a life journey. We can do this [emoji1434][emoji1434]

Head hunger is getting to me too! I have a desk job and I find myself wanting to snack all day. I wish I could get over this stall. I worry I may start to gain the weight back. As of now I do not drink enough fluids. Do you think taking in more fluids would help with weight loss start again? I feel since I am so close to goal it is just going to take more effort.
I’m in the same boat. These last 20lbs just don’t seem to wanna come off for nothing. Increasing your fluids may help to keep you from snacking as much.

Thank you all for your input. It just sucks seeing the weight come off consistently then all of a sudden nothing. [emoji25]. I honestly think my body has just reached its weight loss limit but I’m not gonna give up.

I wouldn't. For 20lbs ? Go back to basics of Protein protein protein. And. Bite of veg. No processed the last 20 will be off in no time. Be paitent it takes longer the closer you are.

All I do is Protein Shakes and low
Carb [emoji45]. I workout out every day at least 30 mins to an hour, sometimes two hrs. That’s why I was thinking I need to do something else. I guess it just takes time

The first month is the worse. I felt the same way. It gets better and you’ll realize it was the best decision ever

It’s been a year and a few weeks since my surgery. Can’t seem to get this last 10-20lbs off for nothing. Considering taking phentermine. Has anyone taken this after surgery? Is it safe? Your thoughts please. Thanks

Yep. Head hunger is still my biggest battle that I fight. I really don't crave the bad things of old, but that habits of feeling like I need to eat (like as soon as I get home from work, late evening, etc) are still there.
I was a diet soda freak before surgery. Haven't had it since so that was a big acomplishment for me. Don't really miss Pasta and breads. I'll have a tiny bit every once in a blue moon but I'm actually happier without it in my diet. I eat so much chicken I fully expect to sprout feathers one of these days.
Yesss! This head hunger I’m glad to know it’s not just me. I feel like I need to be eating even if I’m not hungry. I’m sick of chicken lol.

I think the coming years are gonna be the hardest. The weight loss is slowing and the appetite is increasing. Let’s keep each other motivated!!

Doing good here. Down about 85 pounds since surgery and about 120 since I started my WLS journey. Really wanted to hit 225 at the one year mark but didn't happen. Hoping with an upcoming job change that takes me away from a desk job to being more mobile that will help spark things again.
Got off to a rough start after surgery and the first month was hell, but pretty smooth sailing since then. It is hard to believe how quickly the past year has gone. Been a fun ride! [emoji3]
Congrats to you. Keep up the good work. We will hit our goal.

Great job!!! I was sleeved on January 17, 2017. I am down 94 lbs. I am extremely happy that I decided to take this journey. It has not been easy but I know it was worth it. I just take it one day at a time. I have been on a stall for 3 months now. I am just watching what I eat. I still have 20 more pounds to go to hit me goal. Any suggestions? Would exercise help? If so what kind?
Awesome!!! I have been in a stall for about 2 months myself. Im not sure what to do. I’ve increased cardio and weight training. It’s scary that I can eat more and my appetite has increased maybe due to the added exercise

This is so inspiring! I am going into surgery in just a few hours. Great to see others doing well a year later! [emoji173]️
It’s not a easy journey like some think but definitely worth it. Good luck to you

If you don't own an I-Phone/other Apple products (i.e. I have a Droid for a cell phone), what additional features, if any, would I be able to get from an Apple watch? In other words, is some of the functionality like getting calls/texts/music driven by having an Apple cell phone or will it work with ANY cell phone?
Thanks!
You have to have an iPhone to use the Apple Watch

Forget to post my final weigh in but I’m at 159.2. My goal was to lose 16lbs. I lost 10.

They didn’t give me flomax and I asked about straining and they said no. Last time I had one they did both but I was at a different hospital

I went with the Apple Watch and loving it so far

Spent Christmas Eve in the ER with kidney stones? Anyone else had this problem? Still have not passed them any suggestions? This happened to me once about 8 yrs ago the last time I did low carb, so it must have something to do with this diet

I have been wondering about these Quest Protein chips. I wanted to order them from Amazon, but wasn't sure if they have that weird after taste that some Protein Powder does.
Have you tried other flavors?
Glad you like them! I'm going to order them for sure.
Thank you!
I tried the bbq after someone suggest in this post. Didn’t like the after taste and consistency of the chip.

1g Protein but low calorie. I am not the food police. That job belongs to your dietician[emoji6]
What stage are you in? What does your plan say about rice? Are you hitting your protein goals at this point?
When I make food choices it's based on if it fits into my food plan and macros for the day (calories protein and carbs) I look for high protein alternatives...(that's just my choice)
When I crave crunch my go to Snacks are veggie tray with ken's light dressing to keep my calories and carbs low.
Quest BBQ protein chips, melted mozzarella and salsa. to help hit my protein goal.
I admit, I have a quest protein chip addiction (made out of whey isolate protein powder) 120 calories 5 carbs and 21 grams protein.
I have no problem reaching my protein goal. I’m 11 months post op down 92lbs. I’ll have to try the quest chips. Tks
