Yes! My cheeks have been so dry. I thought it was just because of my face wash but it never did that before I had the surgery

I will tell you it gets so mush easier ! I'm on day 20 and it's only gotten easier since the day I left the hospital. I try new things and I've never vomited , but I will say everyone is different ! Yes Water intake is extremely hard but just try to sip sip sip all day long. You don't want to end up in the hospital because of dehydration.. that will only make you feel worse. And that's super amazing that you've already lost 22lbs!! I've only lost 27 , although I wish for it to be more, my time will come ! I'm here if you need to talk , I love having people to talk to ! I hope you start to feel better and realize that what you did is amazing , and that it will take time !! :-)

I felt really tired all the time until I was on soft foods and was able to get in more calories. If you are going to try to be physically active, I encourage you to try to get your Protein and calories in. I didn't do anything more intense than "brisk walking" until I was over 850 calories a day. Then I stepped it up to 1100-ish calories a day as soon as I could from there. I would say, for me, that was about two months post-op?

I got mine on 12/28 and I regret knot getting my correct weight to a t but I'm pretty sure I was around 315 the day of the surgery. And today I'm 295. I was worried I was losing enough because of everyone else's post. But everyone is different. Are you drinking a lot ? Maybe it's Water weight. If you haven't try weighing yourself after you go to the bathroom in the morning.

I don't meet my Protein goals either. (Most of the time) I wish I could be past this stage and start eating solids. But I guess we all have to see a little rain before the sun comes out. And good luck to you on this journey !

@@Shelby How do you feel? Tired? Do you have to get B12 shots? I haven't had my surgery done when I signed up for this account because my insurance twice denied me for being too young. I'm 18 now, but I'm scared of the post-operative care. Not the pain or the surgery, but becoming anemic and finding Vitamins that will meet my nutritional needs. Just wanted to connect to someone who's similar in weight, age, and height so I could see what I might look like.

I am 2 weeks out and that first week was absolutely horrible. Harder than I expected. Its getting easier but I am still struggling with what I can eat and meeting my Protein goals (not even close)

Today makes a week since I've had the surgery. And I don't mean to scare anyone. And everyone of course is different, but for me the pain from the surgery did not hurt. I was just a little sore from being cut. Now the worst part was the gas pains. But it was minimal. At times it would get stuck in my shoulders. Or hurt a lot. But you just have to walk walk walk ! Trust me you may think you can't walk. Or it hurts to walk. But it's only going to make it better. Also the gas x peppermint strips. That dissolve in your mouth work wonders. Heating pads Also helped me tremendously! You make think getting the surgery was a horrible decision ( I did a few time ) but it only gets easier. Trust me it's well worth pushing through the gas pains and being strong. I already lost 15 pounds since I've been home. I know you can do it!
