Im not sure if your talking to me, or about me but i was just answering based on my personal situation and what my NUT told me. For me, bread is not a trigger, so I do eat toast, rice and Pasta I chose to stay away from. I know my body and my addiction so I'm able to manage that but dismissing my advice because it doesn't match up with what "many WLS patients" indentify with isn't fair either. We are all different and I was just giving the OP my personal advice.

I know what both of you mean! I have felt and done the same thing! I wouldn't even put a picture on my LinkedIn or other SM profiles. I look forward to the before and after pics and the profile pics!

Absolutely! This seems to be the toughest part right now! I made some broth yesterday and the salt gave me a wicked craving for Doritos! I actually thought about just licking one just for the taste, but walked it off. I can't imagine two more weeks of this before I can start soft foods!

Something I always try to remember and remind other wls patients of: this process is about health, not weight loss. Weight loss is the result of the changes you are making to get healthy. If you do the things that lead to health (eating enough Protein, drinking enough Water, sleeping enough, keeping your body active, etc) the weight loss naturally follows, no matter what, and it will happen exactly the way and exactly as fast/slow as your body needs it to. Just keep making healthy choices and your weight loss will happen. You've got this.

Drinking beer and eating everything you want is what got most of us in the position of needing WLS. You know what you need to do to lose weight. Get in your Protein and Water, watch your carb intake and exercise. The sleeve is a tool and not a magic pill.

Yes Protein Powder overload! At thirty dollars a wack! Do not like the taste of most!! I did not need gas x, milk of mag. Rolaids, and the Vitamins my Dr office suggested make me ill! Also are thirty dollars fir a month supply! I changed to a women's multi Vitamin !
Agree with the Jello factor I now totally dislike it! Buy minimal and see what you like AFTER your surgery !! I was sleeved on 1/25 and feel good !

Once I was heavy and my skin was smoother and tighter than all the other "old ladies" I knew. I did look younger, but the difference I envied was not their skin, but how easily they fit into their world. They could cross their legs, not have to ask for an extra seat belt, not have to portion their energy for the day or pre-assess a restaurant by the seating available. Sure I'd love to look like a model rather than a melted model, but I am fiercely proud to fit in these days. I'm in the middle of the group, having my picture taken and being part of the experience instead of watching from the edge or waiting to see the cell phone pics. These wrinkles - I earned them fighting - and winning the toughest battle of my life. You did too. You are a warrior!

I am in the EXACT same boat. I'm 5 days post op too. I'm so hungry. Not my stomach hurting or anything, just these liquids. Oh. My. Gosh. I don't ever want to see broth or Jello ever again in my life. I'm so excited that Monday I can have pudding LOL.

Yes.... you guys. You have to. We all hid from the camera. In fact that was one of my turning points...... My soon to be ex husband took pictures and i didn't know.. and when i looked at them i was like .... Who's that?... it was me. I didn't recognize myself. I just sat and cried my eyes out...... I wasn't always big.... in my twenties i was about 100lbs. Hell i was 130 the day i gave birth to my second son.
Tell your friends to PM you pictures... you will be amazed when you see the changes.... I wish i would have taken more during pictures.... i really wish i had taken them in the same clothes. But i didn't get that advice..... SO i'm giving it to ya'll......

I honestly thought I was the only one that did that. . I will do my before and after pics when I can finally get 'Before pics' that I wasn't hiding behind people, or didn't take from a 'favourable' camera angle. Might need friends to send me random/candid pictures

Let me speak for everyone and say Full Body Picks at your High Weight are as much Fun as a Root Canal. I am looking forward to standing in front of the crowd on Group Pictures instead of hiding behind 3 or 4 people so you can only see my head. I Love Myself Plenty and Honestly Spit a lot of Game for a Big Guy but I have a lot of room for improvement and intend on putting the Best Me back out in the World. So one of my Goals for 2017 is to stop hiding from the Camera and expose myself just as I am and let the changes be seen in the Photo's.

Well I'm sitting in the office waiting for my surgeon to come and go over all the details of my surgery before the big day. It went so slow and now it's pushing zero to 100 real quick. I'm ready for this new stage in my life.. just tell that to the butterflies in my tummy.
