  1. What the hell is phentermine??.. sounds like speed for weight loss
  2. I took two weeks off and I'm a truck driver. I could of gone back earlier. It's an extremely physical job but I was ok
  3. I've got pictures of my stomach pouch before , during and after. I nearly died when I saw it as I had no idea he was giving me bloody photos of it lol I can see where he fixed my hiatus hernia and where he fixed in place my minimiser ring
  4. I think I need to re evaluate my eating. In fact when I first had the sleeve I wasn't eating a lot of snacks like salted biscuits etc so that's one thing to look at. I am eating mostly a Ketogenic diet ( minus the snacks lol) so the salt has to be kept slightly higher anyway. I was light headed a lot earlier on. Between my dr and the surgeons team they decided about my meds so I just do what ever they say lol. I guess it's something that always has to be monitored. Thanks guys for your input [emoji108]
  5. I was sleeved 3 Dec 2016. SW - 86kg Before I had my sleeve I had been on 2 lots of bp medication for years to control it. After my sleeve within a day I had come off one bp medication ( have no idea why I was taken off so quickly). A couple of months down the track when my weight had dropped a bit my bp meds were then halved. I had , had my bp taken a few times and it's been ok. 135/70 avg... My weight had stabilised at around 65kgs ( 3 -4 months ago.... As of a few Days ago my bp has been around 145/82 avg... has anyone had issues with their bp?..where it has never been ok after weight loss or has gone back up?. Thanks
  6. I never had any staples to remove!!.. mine looked like they were glued together
  7. Sounds like me.. I never ever had reflux prior to surgery and also had a hernia repair to which I had no idea I needed until they told me post surgery lol.. I'm 6 mths post op and I have no signs of it going away[emoji19].. I have to take my meds in the morning or else by mid day or in the arvo I can feel the burn. When I have forgotten and haven't had reflux symptoms to remind me to take it ill occasionally wake up and be choking on my vomit or acids.. it's scared the bjezuz out of me. It's bloody horrible I have no food specifically that I can put it down to that causes it. Went and saw my dr for my months post op blood test results etc and it seems that few of us will get it without having any prior issues.. great huh [emoji45]
  8. Be careful about how much multivitamins u take. I'm on one multi a day and my 6 monthly bloods came back with my vit b6 being extremely high!!... my multi contains too much b6 and I'm over dosing.
  9. Since my surgery literally the day after I felt different. I wasn't sure what from or why. 6 months down the track nothing has changed. I have since learnt that I have a lot of symptoms of major depression but mostly apathy or anhedonia. I know it wasn't regret or from lack of food or missing food as it happened so suddenly. My surgeon and dr have no idea as to why these feelings have come or when they may go. I can't laugh or feel happiness the way I used to although I know things are funny I don't get that awesome feeling. I truly miss it . I feel like when I laugh it's very forced. I am on Zoloft and have been for a while but that was for anger. My days are ok and I continue on as normal
  10. I never had reflux before my vsg in Dec 16.. yet I had a hernia repair during my op and suffer with reflux very damn day since surgery. I have to take meds for it or else it's horrible
  11. Should make your own bone broth. It's very easy and heaps cheaper. ( bone broth where we live is $14 a litre ) And it's so much more tastier tbh
  12. Had my surgery dec 16 and dropped the weight quite quick. I was 85kgs now 65kgs. With high BP and medicated with two lots of meds and hypothyroidism.. Off one lot of bp meds and halved the other bp med. hypo hasn't changed still on 200 micros a day Unfortunately I have developed reflux after the op which is ****...

  14. 3 tins of tuna is 90g of protein...
  15. No problems a day after surgery taking my tablets normally. Not crushed or halved. In fact I had no problems with gulping water either. Never had to sip which I thought I would
  16. Maybe once a week or fortnight..
  17. I eat fresh or frozen strawberries on the rare occasion I make a protein drink. Sometimes I may add some banana...That's about it
  18. Have lost no hair from what I can tell or see although my hair is extremely short. No issues with food or water. Can't have too much sweet stuff or I'm nauseous. On a multivitamin and vit d with calcium but I think it's the wrong one.. Have reflux after surgery but none before.. that's annoying
  19. Sleeved dec 5th 2016 BMI - 31/32 84kgs maybe 85kgs Day of surgery - 80kgs Currently -65kgs and have been for ages. Haven't shifted weight in a couple of months maybe I don't count calories but I do try to keep my fats and protein high and carbs very low... Goal weight prob around 60kgs but have never really had one in mind. Slip off the wagon every day but not too much.
