    Depression and withdraw.

Hang in there. Fat cells I understand also release hormones, so there is a lot going on. I think you will see that depression/anxiety becomes more manageable with the weight loss.

  8. I'm month 3 after gastric bypass and down 50 pounds. I am losing about 1-2 pounds a week now. Is that at a normal rate or should I be losing more? I'm a dude if that helps, and started at 270. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Cheat day?

Definitely a good idea to read up on ketosis. I think people who have never been on Atkins or South Beach don't understand how it differs from a straight-up low calorie diet. That transition into ketosis is no fun! And the water-weight gain from storing glycogen again is going to upset people who put a lot of stock into what their scale says. Thank you. The Water retention is actually a noticeable feeling. The result of just one day of substituting just a small amount of calories. No weight gain thankfully. Have this forum to thank.

    Cheat day?

So that explains the headache today. 100 calories of a chip appears to do more harm than good. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Dumping syndrome

Can dumping happen hours later? I ate something with 17 grams of sugar by accident this morning and now 10 hours later feeling a bit woozy. Could also be something else... weather related, blood sugar, weird bypass wooziness. I don't know. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I think this is a good suggestion, adding protein power to food you can tolerate. Foods like yogurt, Soups, no sugar pudding, Sometimes I make a shake with almond milk. I think you should try just making your own shakes. Water, protein power (I've seen some good selections at GNC -- like a cinnamon one that tastes like Churro!) Check out powered Peanut Butter. I think the GNC brand is called Daily Powered PB. costco has one they are selling right now which is the more popular brand. 90% less fat, and 7 grams of protein to add to things... Good Luck!
