I haven't had surgery just started this journey. My mom passed away in Feb of a blood clot. I'm terrified of developing a clot after surgery. I know the thing to do is Walk... Walk.... Walk. It still scares me. I heard some doctors give you blood thinner meds after surgery. Thoughts? Comments? ????Renea in AL

Honey, you sound like me. I watched my mom go so through so much due to her weight. I simply brought it up to my PCP and she was so helpful finding me a great surgeon. She has had several patients go through WLS and knew all of what was needed on her end. Good luck! ????Renea in AL

Had my EGD last Friday. I had some gas and soreness in my throat. Took it easy the rest of the day and felt great on Saturday. ????Renea in AL

So it looks as if my 15 years of waiting is over..I finally have insurance that covers Sleeve Surgery. I have Mental Illness. I'm diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I'm concerned about getting clearance from my psychiatrist (I've just became her patient 3 mths ago).
