Mine was also easy. I just had the sniffles for a few days after from the cold oxygen blowing up my nose. Good luck.

I had one last Friday

Easy, sore throat afterwards had some ice cream the next day sore throat gone , you will be ok they put you to sleep I got to take my music with me and keep my under ware on lol!!!

The EGD is a breeze. I was out and up in 15-20 mins.

I too think it was a piece of cake. I fell asleep without realizing, don't remember that part at all, then out of recovery in about 15 minutes. No sore throat for me either.

My husband had one last year (or the year before that, I can't remember the date.) His dad drove him home, the procedure was short. He came home and vomited, and then slept the rest of the morning. Doesn't remember coming home or the procedure, only that his throat was sore.

I'm currently waiting to hear when my appointment is, and atm, I'm more terrified of this than surgery. (Months till surgery... No reason to worry yet!) I don't really like being knocked out...

But I also had a friend who did it awake. Just some xanax and a throat spray...she went out to lunch after. So it can't be that bad, right?

Had my EGD last Friday. I had some gas and soreness in my throat. Took it easy the rest of the day and felt great on Saturday.

Don't worry, I was so scared for mine. It wasn't bad at all! I freaked over nothing. It's just like a nap. Good luck! My Surgery is Monday tho!
