I am kind of surprised reading some of these. Maybe their's are extreme cases, or maybe mine is the extreme case. Yes I needed a ride home, but that is standard procedure and a precaution as you will be put out. But other than that, I literally felt no different leaving then when I went in. It was just like taking a very peaceful nap. I didn't even have a sore throat afterwards! And I had a biopsy of the stomach at the same time, not just the scope. I also ate as soon as I left the hospital.
