My Story begins twelve years ago when I weighed in at 98 lbs.  I had drastically lost over 20 lbs and didn't understand why so a visit to my doctor revealed a dying thyroid.   Twelve years later I hit 218 lbs and said enough is enough.  I had been doing research on the bypass (not knowing sleeve was a option) for a couple of years and had decided if my insurance ever paid for the surgery I would have  it done.   on May 1 I attended a seminar on the surgery and set a date to see the surgeon (May 4th)for further questions I had at which time he revealed my insurance would cover for me and my out of pocket would be minimal.  When I left his office I was at the beginning of my journey of which I had many ups and downs.   Six month later I was scheduled for surgery after pre-approval was denied the first submission then approved a week later.  I weighed in at 208 the morning of surgery and am now  at 196.2 and counting
 
Now here I am, surgery done on December 5th and I'm down 10 lbs and  a very happy lady. 
I has been a long two weeks of not eating only drinking and I cant wait to be allowed the mushy/pureed stage next week.   I hate oatmeal but am craving its  creaminess right now so that will be my  first pureed food.
