    Hi
I actually started this Bariatric Surgery in the beginning of 2013. I had the lap band put in July 2013.
My HW ever was 255. My LW after the band was 225, and because I had problems with them getting me in the Green (Right) Zone. I couldn't lose anymore and as of the beginning of 2016 I was at my highest post Lap Band in 2013 which was 244.4. Considering to have a revision, I called my insurance company who said the maximum number of Bariatric Surgeries was 2, I decided to start the Process. I had my revision done in one day on Nov 14, 2016, the day after my 50th Birthday, at which time I was down to 231. Also, I actually almost backed out the day of surgery, but so glad I didn't. As of today Dec 17, 2016 I'm down to 218.8, AND I'M DETERMINED WITH THE HELP OF GOD TO REACH MY GOAL.
A suggestion for anyone considering any of these surgeries for the first time or revision, PLEASE PRAY AND ASK GOD, WHICH I DID EACH TIME, AND HE GAVE ME THE OK EACH TIME.
    SO HERE I AM TODAY.
Ps I'd recommend the Sleeve Over The Band. Yes the band can be reversed and said to be the safest, but if you don't get the Right Fill, you'll probably end up like me losing then gaining some back and headed back in the wrong direction overall.

This year has been ROUGH (lost mom on January 1, 2016) and I pretty much checked out on life, but I'm back! Although I lost weight (about 40 lbs) following my sleeve, it was not drastic and I stalled pretty quickly. My goal was to only lose about 70 - even with that weight loss, I went from size 16w to 12 and the change was noticeable.
I have gained 30 back, but have lost 6 in a week. I'm here for motivation and support, which I lack.
I'm new to this. How do u get to participate in forums? It's asking for password?

My husband had sleeve surgery tonight. It finished around 7. He was in so much pain when he got out. It was awful to watch. The nurses assured me he would be feeling better. Ugh! I stayed until 12:30, and I felt guilty leaving him. I'll go back as soon as I wake up in the morning. I don't have a question as much as I just needed a place to write how awful it was. I'm sure it will be better tomorrow though. FIngers crossed!

Two days post op and gas pains have been the only real issues at first. Walking as much as possible because it is the best at reliving that chest pain. Have had no nausea and Protein and chicken broth have been staying down.

    @@RussT,
I am much the same way and have been since the beginning of this journey in March. I always wear running shorts and a t-shirt when I have to weigh at the doctor. In fact, I have gotten the exact same running shorts and t-shirt in smaller sizes as I have gone along. And I obsess, too, but I have to always remind myself that they really don't give a crap. They never have. They type the number in the computer and that's the end of it. My disappointment all along has been that they don't make a bigger deal of my success than they do. But, I'm one of hundreds of patients that they try to pass through that place as fast as they can.
Cut yourself some slack. You're doing great. Let your success be your inspiration. (And I promise that I am trying to practice what I preach here!!)

It sucks when you know you're right, and they are convinced they are too. You can take your scale, but I have two thoughts to offer. One, it may lose its calibration from being jostled during the trip, and that could just further entrench their opinion that they are right. Two, no matter what you do, a lot of people refuse to be convinced that they were in the wrong.
I'd just let it go, and I write that as someone who has a boatload of righteous indignation when I know I'm right and the other guy isn't. The important thing is that YOU know you're losing weight. Unless they're going to make you take some sort of pills, or charge you extra, they really can't do anything to you, right?

So I am 7 weeks post op! I have lost 30lbs and about 34 inches around my whole body! This is so exciting for me. I just got a treadmill yesterday finally! I am wondering what other types of exercises everyone is doing to help get the weight off too.
