About me...My below about me was me 4 years ago, I failed with my lapband and finally decided to have it removed and get gastric sleeve surgery. The enablers in my life are gone and now it's ME TIME! I'm still the same girl, what changed is I am focusing on me!

My post from 2012
well I have been overweight my entire life and after years of diets and struggling I finally decided to get the lapband surgery. Right now I am on my detox diet and my surgery is June 29! I am excited and nervous of course for the procedure. I am only telling a few people in my life about my surgery because after telling my best friend and his initial response wasn't supportive at all, I feel like its my personal business and will share it with people as time goes by.I have tried many diets, such as Atkins, Weight Watchers, Tops, Slimfast, body by Vii and others. The main reason I am getting this surgery is to learn how to eat the right portions. I eat way to much and I am even very active with exercise! I am a Zumba fanatic and have great ladies around me which makes working out fun! But my problem is, I am not losing weight, even with exercise I eat too much and at the most I will lose about 10-20 lbs and then a month later gain it all back. I am hoping with this surgery I can learn how to eat better and how to live a healthier lifestyle.I have thought about getting lapband done for about 3 or so years ago when a co-worked got the procedure done. Since then she has lost over 70lbs and kept it off, and she feels great. Then a year later another co-worker got it done too, she lost over 100lbs and same, doing fantastic. But what really made my mind up was another co-worker who had the procedure done in feb, since then has lost 60lbs and she has encouraged me and motivated me to just do it! So I am thankful to her for it.I guess that is it, I tend to ramble alot! Haha! I have never had anytype of surgery before, so I am nervous about that. But beyond excited for the lifestyle change! And to be able to sit in a booth at a restaurant and not have my stomach touch the table! That's me! :)h
