  1. In the initial group info session (early Jan 08) Dr. T adv they have had 2 patients die and neither were due to the weight loss surgery or complications related to the same ~ natural causes, etc. He moved to CT 7/05 and has been practicing since so that's a great rate! Has anyone had direct contact with Dr. T's new surgeon? I was at the info session the day he started and have my f/up in early April with him. Just wondering how he was.
  2. I had my first apt with Dr. T on 1/31 and I'm almost done with all the necessary dr apts for the health insurance submission. On the 1/31 apt they set a f/up at their practice for the first wk of April and said I should have everything done by then. Since you need to attend 2 of the group sessions and they only hold them 1x per month I would suspect about 3 mos from initial consult to the f/up and submission visit is pretty standard... I can't wait to see if health ins will give any problems ~ don't know if I could take rejection after all this effort put into prep, ya know? Tamara Cafegrly
  3. I'm LOL while reading these because I think I'm experiencing Last Supper Syndrome and I haven't even rcvd ins approval or a surgery date yet! I think since the initial consult with doc and beginning of all the medical testing/visits I've been telling myself, "This may be the last 5 scoop sundae I can have from Friendly's" before eating worse then ever!! I'm making a new effort starting today to follow a much more reasonable eating plan so if I don't get the health ins green light I won't have put myself 20lbs deeper in the hole of morbid obesity (no pun intended) :smile2:
  4. I'm a self admitted computer clueless wonder here so I'm not even sure if anyone will read this (or care if they do)! I'm in the process of the pre-submission medical apts and just can't wait to find out if health ins will approve my lap band surgery! I've never seen so many drs in my entire life as I have in the last month. I'm 5'6" weighing 250 lbs and can't wait to return to the 'real' me I've lost since marriage and having my daughter! What the heck will it feel like to have my outter self match what I feel like inside when a mirror / camera isn't present?
