  1. Lately I've been struggling with this question a lot. After getting the band, wow, three years ago next May, I lost a lot of weight and fairly fast, although the last, oh year and a half, I've been dealing with so much depression and stress, haven't gone to the doctors at all, no follow ups or anything after the first year, I've been eating like crazy and hardly working out at all after a devestating knee injury that prevents me from doing almost any cardio. Luckily, I have only gained maybe 10 pounds back, bringing my total weight loss in 2 1/2 years to about 45 pounds or so. I'm not sure whats really causing all of this, I worry that I've totally destroyed my band, some days I can eat an entire pizza, other days three small bites of chicken will make me "slime" for an hour. I know I need to get checked out desperately, but I'm so terrified of actually having my failure out there in front of my doctor (who I haven't seen in forever and probably thinks I moved or died or something.) Getting the lapband so young, I know that I really wasn't ready or perhaps it was the wrong choice for me. I still eat, out of boredom, depression, and just simply that I love food and lots of it. I know I'm stupid for ruining this opportunity, I'm such an "avoider."
  2. I bought new jeans yesterday because all my pants are falling off me. The pair I ended up getting are Levi's skinny jeans in a size 13! Thats right, juniors sizes! The last time I fit into juniors sizes I was probably in 9th grade. I was so excited, even though they wern't cheap. Woo!
  3. Hey everyone! Its been forever since I've been on here, busy busy busy with school and 2 jobs and an ever growing social life, I can't complain though, I'm down 55 pounds and feel more comfortable with myself than I ever have. I still have about 50 more to go before I am at goal, but I'm a little more than halfway there and only about 6 months out, yay!
  4. Hey everyone, first time on here in months! I can't wait for school to be over so I have a little more time to myself. With 5 classes and 2 jobs I've had little time to focus on working out, but the weight has been coming off slow, but fairly steady, I've lost 55 pounds as of today, woo!
  5. Yay! This is me about 40 ish pounds down
  6. I finally lost a couple pounds! About 5 in the last week, since my second fill. I hadn't lost anything in weeks so it was a relief to see the scale move, although I know theres no way I can loose any significant weight until I hit the gym! I haven't had a day off in months, so whenever I don't have to go to work until late, I sleep as late as I can then do errands and such, if I have to work in the morning I'm exhausted by the time I get out (I'm a banquet waitress...) I work two jobs and usually end up working one in the morning then the other in the night, its so hard to find time to breath, forget go work out! When school starts I'm hoping to maybe get on some kind of schedual at work so my life is a little easier to deal with.
  7. I've only lost about 35 pounds and right now my boobs look nice, but I can already tell they are deflating. I used to not be sure, but I've always been known as the girl with the huge knockers lol. If they were seriously deflated and droopy I would def get some kind of lift, maybe with an implant. I want to have nice big boobs that look like 20 year old boobs, not 70 year old boobs~! lol
  8. I managed to do a couple push ups today, REAL pushups, not the crappy girly ones on your knees... I haven't been able to do a push up since I was maybe 10? I haven't lost any weight in a while but that made me feel good
  9. Congrats to everyone! I on the other hand haven't lost a pound in about 3 weeks, but I've been so busy I've only gone to the gym like, twice and have been eating as much of and whatever I want, I'm always starving!!! I'm not too worried though, I've been to busy to worry! I go for another fill on the 20th, maybe that will help with the constant hunger pangs
  10. congrats!!!! I'm just 5 pounds shy, but 35 is a good number too  I can't wait to join u
  11. I went to the doctors today and apparently I am down 8 pounds from my last visit exactly 2 weeks before! SO even though I've didn't really think I had been eating that well lately, he didn't think I needed another fill and told me to wait for our next visit 3 weeks from now for my 2nd fill. Yay I'm so pumped! Although the doctors scale is always like, 2 pounds less than my electronic one... hmmm...
  12. Ugh so last night I went to the movies and we snuck snacks in (rebels!!) hehe. I brought a big bag of cheddar chex mix and ate like, half the bag while we were sitting there! I wasn't even that full afterwards! Tomorrow I go to the doctor and I'm going to ask for another fill. I got home this morning and weighed myself, I had been at a steady 197 all week and I was 197.5, laaame.
  13. Thanks!!!!! Ahough I've been cheating a bit when it comes to all the rules regarding liquids and such with dinner... I take a sip or two, hopefully I'll ween myself off eventually. Hang in there! You've done so great so far that scale will be at 199 before you know it! :smile2:
  14. I can answer that last question, Regardless of what you're going back to, I think you need a good few days, I was banded early on a Thursday morning, I felt good when I went home Friday morning, but as soon as the morphine wore off, I was miserable until around Monday, and went back to school on Tuesday, but it was still really uncomfortable to even just sit in a desk for a couple hours. I had a lof of problems with nausea and dizzyness, but everyone is different, its really up to you and how your body reacts to things. I would just recommend making sure you can get more than a day or two off from work, just to be safe.
