Count me in ladies! I have my last of seven "hoop jumping" appointments this Thurdsay. Afterwards, everything will be submitted to BCBS for approval. I suspect surgery will be in April. A woman I work with is doing this as well, and her info goes in Monday for approval, so I'm anxious to find out how long this process takes. I'm very excited and so glad to have this forum. I have been lurking for a while and have been absorbing all this information. I feel like I'm going to have tons of new friends for support. I have been overweight all my life, obese most of my adult life and morbidly obese for the last 10 years or so. I cannot wait to be healthy. I have a wonderful new husband and plan to have many many years with him.:thumbup:

I have my last PCP visit March 20 and I'm getting very excited now that all this is to become reality. A gal in my office is having the surgery also, and we are using Dr. Schmitt in Birmingham. I found this forum a while back and have been lurking once in a while, but now that there is light at the end of the tunnel, I have been reading EVERYTHING and registered here today. I cannot wait until I can have a jazzy ticker logging my success! It is really quite inspirational to read what you all have to say and I'm sure I will be asking tons of questions before the surgery date finally arrives!!:tea:
