  1. Teresita, might as well. There are enough people out there trying to bring you down. The best revenge is to have a good life, in spite of them.... Thank you, Rene. I'm putting Joy on a plane tomorrow to go see the daughter unit, so I understand. I'll do my best.
  2. Well, just remember (please, please, please) that this phase is for healing. Don't worry about losing. Joy did a pretty good job of it by CONSTANTLY having something at hand to sip on. And she really enjoyed the trips to Sonic for a semi-frozen treat. And she still lost weight.
  3. 3loves, the best part of the day was taking MsJoy for a ride on the motorcycle to try out the new pegs. Kathy, I think so. She married me, didn't she??? hehehe And with her, it will be a good one....thank you.
  4. How are you feeling, hon? Is that baby girl taking care of you, now??? hehehe
  5. Thank you, Pat and 3loves....while we were in Waco getting my highway pegs, Joy picked up a keyring and a "Harley" charm for her bracelet. I told her it was a good thing it was MY birthday....hehehe
  6. Diane, the problem is, I don't feel a day over 40. And I don't feel a day over 40, either. :-) Sherry, I put my birthday present on the Harley (new highway pegs) and Joy and I went out for a little ride. And then we took the motorcycle out for a drive around the area....hehehe
  7. Anita, I didn't even know that you were headed in for your surgery. I guess I missed some of the posts. We almost have the same birthdate...mine 6/24 and we won't discuss the year....LOL Let us hear if you need anything. Congratulations on getting your band and many happy losses, hon. Heal well and heal fast!
  8. Thank you, NJ....I love the birthday smilies.
  9. Pictures, pictures, we want NEW pictures.....preferably the nudie kind....LOL I'M KIDDING....sort of. But Jess, we really would like to see some more of you.
  10. Go 'nita, go 'nita, GO GO GO, go 'nita.......MsJoy says if there is anything she can do for you just let her know. When you get the details, be sure and spread the word, K?
  11. Donna, do you see what you started?? LMAO
  12. I think I'd look for a new doctor....
  13. Hiya Kathy, welcome to the forum. Hmmmmmm, words of wisdom????? Hints????? Don't eat yellow snow or anything green and fuzzy from the refrigerator.... How's that? *grin* Just ask questions and you'll get answers. Do you homework! All of it! Follow your doc's instructions...and lose a buttfull. LOL
  14. *waving* Hi Brenda!!! It will take a little time, but I'm sure you'll find the right restriction for you and you'll be on your way to your goal, no problem. Welcome to the forum.
  15. Good luck, hon. MsJoy says that her post op pain, on a scale of 1 to 10 was about a 1.5. She never even opened her bottle of pain medicine. Just follow the doctor's instructions to the tee and heal. Don't worry about losing right now. Well....you know all the right things to do, so do them.
  16. Hi Pat, Welcome to LBT. The definition of a "fill" is the saline that they inject into your band. My DW has the Vanguard band and it allegedly holds 10cc of saline. Her first fill was 6cc. As of the other day, she has had 4 fills and she is at something like 9.5cc. Right now she is on liquids, soon to be mushies, and then we'll see how she handles solids with that kind of restriction. Good luck!
  17. All I can tell you about is Dr J's office charges $15,000 for the whole shooting match. Doctor, hospital, gaspasser. I'm not sure if the fills are included, but he charges my DW $50 (she had insurance). They required a stress test for her....that's about it.
  18. Sister, that is great news! And Arlene is a hoot! Just do yourself a favor and don't worry about losing right now, just heal. The losing will come later. Welcome to Bandlandia...
  19. OK Victoriana, that's what we call "getting your panties in a wad", thus the reference.... At least now I know that we should be picturing a woman with three breasts....LOL I'm so glad it wasn't one of the other two options...thank you for the laugh.
  20. OK, we started out referring to bras...then we switched to undies *blush* I'm trying to picture you walking about with your panties in a wad....LMAO Would that be in front, at the waist or in the middle between.....uh.....well......FOCL (fell off chair laughing) I'm sooooOOOoooo confused.
  21. The thing is...with the internet, there really aren't a lot of international boundaries that we have to cross. At least I didn't see any when I logged on.
  22. Celeste, I was wondering where you had gotten off to. Good to see you again. And so much less of you....PICTURES, WE WANT PICTURES.....congratulations!!!!! How's the job?
  23. Christy, this is all great news for you... I hope you will come to one of our DFW luncheons and let us meet you. Have a good trip this time.
