  1. Hiya Boston, Welcome to LBT. I'm the DH (no, not the designated hitter, the darling husband). Wife had her band surgery back last December. Wow, 4 years with your band. Any problems to speak of??? And how has the weight loss been?
  2. Oh yeah, my wife is losing really slow, weight wise. She seems to be losing inches constantly. Just the other day she pulled one of her old blouses out of the back of the closet. One that hadn't been worn in a loooooong time, but when she stepped up on the scale for the week, the same 256. Go figure.....but at least it isn't going back up.
  3. Jess, be well, be calm, be confident in the knowledge that you CAN do this and that we are all pulling for you.

Today is exactly 10 months to the day since my wife's surgery. We decided to go do some early Christmas shopping and she was rummaging in the closet for something to wear. She comes out of the closet dressed in a pair of brown pants. She works as a receptionist and always, ALWAYS wears black pants. She's had the same job for the last 4 years. Those brown pants have been parked in the back of the closet for 4 YEARS. She says, "These are a pair of my 'back of the closet pants." AND.....she has a little extra room in the caboose.
  5. Rest assured that you are normal. You should have very little if any restriction at all. It should be as if you had no band at all. The restriction will come with your fills. Be well.
  6. Good job...congratulations!
  7. Coins for me and "JOY" Christmas stuff for the wife.
  8. And the fibrous foods have a tendancy to "stick". They don't move through your stoma as easily.
  9. oh heck, Brandy! Stand up and show it, honey! You worked hard to get to that point..... And if they don't like it, you can point to the spot you would like for them to kiss....LOL
  10. missSD, just for the benefit of your DH, BF, SO.... YES, I would say that it is. So you should get plenty of it....LOL
  11. My wife is on liquids for one week, followed by a week of mushies. And she has had absolutely NO problems whatsoever.
  12. And something that my wife and I have always done....Keep your anniversary as special as the day that you wed. We always take a trip and eat some place special and new. (kids not included)
  13. *sniffle, sniffle* I feel your pain, Paula. It is sooooOOOoooooo unfair..... (I'm still trying to work up a tear or two, so, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAW till then)
  14. La madam, someone had a set of rules posted in a thread here and now I can't find the link. Any ideas?
  15. Congratulations, Kellie! If it means anything, it rained on our wedding day, also. And that was just over 31 years ago. God bless....
  16. Kewi, my wife hasn't had but one problem with her food coming back up and that was because she got stuck. She tells me that she will NOT swallow a bite of anything if she can't smear it against the roof of her mouth without "lumps". She might get tired of chewing, but she doesn't have to chew it "twice".
  17. Actually, I was going to say, that is why he is HER boyfriend. YOU don't have to deal with him except in family situations. As Donna said, just love her as your sis and limit your exposure (bad choice of words, maybe) to him. And show her this thread.
  18. She has probably already told your brother, who is telling the rest of the family, who are getting the pitchforks and torches ready for the lynching and intervention. But my best guess is that she would like to do it with you and doesn't want to be left behind.
  19. They are in here somewhere, Aza. If I run across them I'll send you the link. Just keep looking for them.
  20. OH.....THAT'S WHAT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT.....LOL I really need to get my mind out of that XXX thread I was reading. *GRIN*
  21. Well...... there are a lot of questions that would need to be asked before deciding that this "isn't working", IMHO. As for your thyroid problem, and I'm not saying that you DON'T have a problem, I feel that if you look long enough and hard enough you can probably FIND a problem of one sort or another. Either way you go, I pray you find the answers that you are searching for.
  22. oh.....Soooooooooooooo sweet. Thank you. LOL
  23. Babs, honey, have you considered the fact that there is just a lot less of you there to dampen the sounds????
