I made a black bean Soup that was posted on BariatricEating and it counted as full liquid. Purée one can of drained black Beans, 1/2 salsa and 1 cup of chicken broth and heat. I have a Nutribullet and it was smooth as milk. It kept me full and made me feel like I was eating something.

Look for boxed Soups. I strolled into a Wegman's and found a bunch of Soup and broth cartons that made me weep with joy. Potato leek, Thai chicken Broth, Roasted Bone stock (I know that sounds awful, but oh my sweet baby Jesus, add a dash of hot sauce and it was MAGICAL), etc etc etc. Make sure it's smooth, not too loaded with sugar or carbs, and go to town!

Idk if all surgeons do a nerve block but I would def say it's a great way to stop the pain it will fade gradually and then completely after 90 hours that's what my surgeon said .

So I had my gastric sleeve done yesterday at noon After I few unforeseen issues i was given the option of rescheduling I decided to get it done . I was really nervous going in wondering how bad the pain and nausea was going to be . I woke up groggy and in very minimal pain. No nausea! Best was to describe it is sore your abandon is sore . I'm only taking pain meds cuz why not ? But I would be ok with nothing.what hurts the most is my throughly because of the tube . I sore and painful to swallow but seriously other then that this gal feels great ! thank you RWJ hospital

So I had my gastric sleeve done yesterday at noon After I few unforeseen issues i was given the option of rescheduling I decided to get it done . I was really nervous going in wondering how bad the pain and nausea was going to be . I woke up groggy and in very minimal pain. No nausea! Best was to describe it is sore your abandon is sore . I'm only taking pain meds cuz why not ? But I would be ok with nothing.what hurts the most is my throughly because of the tube . I'm going in 11/09/2016 .. I'm a little nervous. I've heard such mixed reviews about the surgery . I just found this group and I have so many questions. Like My doctor wants you to do a 7-10 day liquid diet before the surgery which I am currently really struggling with . Anyone have to do this? Also regarding the hospital stay my surgeon asked me if I was interested in going home same day. I was ecstatic and said YES!! but now after talking to a few people they all say I should really stay overnight .. Did anyone else go home same day?

So you know this post has no purpose. It’s me venting to people I don’t know so I can say anything which is a amazing because I’ve been pretty quiet at home ( Cant scare my hubby).
So my surgery is tomorrow and I’m defiantly nervous.. How much pain am I going to be in ... ? Is this really going to help us get pregnant in the end?? Am I going to be more obsessed with my looks then with the whole reason I’m doing this in the first place? Am I going to maintain a healthy weight After surgery? Will I even get to a healthy weight !? I feel like my head is going to explode. Then the darker things like are people going to say I took the easy way? I’m so sick of people in general . It’s great that people have success with weight loss with self-motivation, diet and exercise, but man is it rough when you have 120 or more to lose to be " healthy" that’s a person! I need to lose a whole fucking person .. So yeah I’m doing this . No regrets. I’m going to be fine and my husband and I are going to make a baby and we are going to be those happy people!

Sleeved today, hernia repair as well. Here for a standard overnight in hospital, no nausea only when I first woke from surgery but zofran helped. Worst is the shoulder gas pain. Been walking, using my incentive spirometer and asking for pain meds. It's been improving but super slow over the hours. After my nap it improved but then I walked and when I had to take deep Breaths it hurt all over again. The hospital staff and docs have been amazing, I'm happy for my new life. Now to eat liquid for a month.....lol!!!
