I prefer the butt wipe that contain witch hazel. Soothing but not greasy. Or just dump a bit of witch hazel into the packet of wipes you have. Use the rest of the bottle as a toner for your face.

Before I even say this I know it's REALLY messed up so no one has to point it out to me.
I have the usually reaction to very obese, compassion, pity, sadness etc but if I look deep down I am very judgmental and also a little grossed out.
And, yes, I realize that people might view me the same way.

Yes, many people regain as much of half their starting weight but that's not because the sleeve "failed". The sleeve is the same sizevfive years after surgery as it was 5 weeks after surgery.
As so many have already said it's a TOOL. You are the one who decides how to use it. If you push food through by drinking so you can eat more your going to gain weight. Don't want to gain weight? Don't do this.
Seems to me that better pre operative education and more post op counseling around eating disorders would improve outcomes.

I actually burst into tears when my surgeon told me the AVERAGE weight loss for someone my age and weight.
Hardly seemed worth having major surgery. But at 8 weeks post op I am just 8 pounds from the "average" 6 month weight loss. I had the surgery and decided NOT to be average.

A 20% weight loss will kick start ovulation. I was a public health ob nurse and saw this all the time. And a had our last kid when I was 46... yep, right after working my butt off to loose 80 pounds. So now I am 62 with a 40 year old AND a 16 year old.

This is the reason I didn't tell anyone before the except my husband and one close friend who I knew would be supportive and not gossip.
The strongest reactions? From my fat friends. Maybe it's to close to home. I have a "high needs" friend who usually doesn't go more that three days without checking in. We usually meet up for Breakfast every second Sunday. I haven hear from her at all and she's canceled Breakfast at the last minute twice.
I have quickly lost and slowly regained the same 100 pounds 7 timest in the past 20 years. Then suddenly I could seem to lose any weight even on a very restrictive 1200 calories deit and my A1C was creeping up
What is really weird is that it's the skinny women are so quick to advise that I could have lost the weight AGAIN....argh...

I played a supply of "genie" bras. I went to the site to buy shape ware for mutt but tons of stuff was on sale. They don't have hooks but I got the ones with zippers. The cups are soft but the bra doesn't give me that "uniboob" look you get with some sports bras. The br also have removable "modesty" pads so your nipples don't show.
I can't say enough about the Genie compression leggings. They push and squeeze in e right places but don't flatten out my butt at all.

According to my surgeon age is a factor. She calculated that I should expect to loose 40 pounds in the first year and 60-80 total by the end of the second year. I intend to prove her wronged.

I do wonder how all those surgeons and psychologist and nutritionist (from your Mexican WLS center?) will react when someone keeps right on eating corn on the cob and ribs 3 days post op because some idiot on this site told them "don't worry, we all make mistakes" and there is no one here to speak up and call bullshit.
It makes sense that you will not delete our accounts, after all you don't want your membership numbers to drop. I will delete my own account. But I am serious that YOU need to stop sharing my email address with your cronies.

I feel for you. I never give advice unless I am sure it's correct and will hold up to fact checking but there are people who are compelled to argue with me and often even insult me. Since their social development ended in 7th grade, they tend to post in groups. One chimes in and the rest "like" the post and offer their own post.
You did good. Be proud of it. Don't ever let other people's selfishness, insecurity or drama get to you.

It is quoted in post 20 if you want a screen shot. If I were Alex's attorney I would advised him to remove it and deny he ever posted it.
