I work and take classes at a university and many people either know me or have seen me.
I was getting some yogurt because I forgot to eat before class and one of the guys who work in the cafeteria just stared at me and was like "wow wow wow, I'm single!" Haha and when he rang me up he said "I'm going to make this last as long as I can, I'm speechless" and he gave me my bills one at a time all the people who worked in the cafeteria were telling me how fabulous I looked
Then I was in the elevator going back up to the classroom and one of the guys who works here ran to the elevator because the doors were still open and he just kinda kept looking at me and he said "are you the same girl that used to work over at the information center?" And I was like yeah and he was like "you've slimmed down, you look great! Doing an amazing job!" He even got out of the elevator even though he was going to a different floor to watch me walk away Hahahaha I've never even met him before
This has really been made me feel so good and is such a confidence booster!
I haven't had guys flirt with me in a very very long time haha and I'm 29 (30 on Saturday!!) and am very single haha it feels really nice
    It made my day!

I had my gastric sleeve done January 11th. I weighed 333.1lbs.
I'm 10 months post op now and weigh 144.2lbs.
I've set new goal weights as I've gone along...first was just to get under 200lbs, then I thought I wanted my goal weight to be 180lbs. When I got there, I made the crazy goal of 150lbs never thinking I'd make it....but I did. So then I figured my goal would be 145lbs which puts me at a normal bmi...which I haven't been since I was around 10.
Now that I weight 144lbs, I've decided my final goal will 133lbs, which will mean I will have lost a total of 200lbs....and I'll do it, I know I can.
I never thought when I had surgery that weighing in the 130's would even be possible.
I've gone from wearing sizes 5-6x, and 28-30, now I wear smalls and mediums and am a size 8....I would be around a 6 if it wasn't for the large amount of skin I have around my stomach and thighs....but it's a price I'm more than happy to pay.
I've been extremely disciplined this whole 10 months. I can honestly say I've never put a bad food in my mouth...not once. I follow a very low carb diet still, drink about 85oz of Water every day and get in around 80oz of Protein. I take all my required Vitamins daily.
The gym has become a big part of my life. I workout around 5-6 days per week doing a variety of exercising....spin class, step  class, yoga, cardio machines....I like doing different things so I don't get bored.
Anyway, because I'm so close to goal, I just wanted to share this. And for the people who have a lot of weight to lose like I did....remember, you can do this! I'm living proof!!

    Hello everyone
As I write this I am one month and three days post op. I've been doing some reading here on and off before surgery and since, and decided to join up and say hello.
It took me years to get here. I have been overweight most of my life. I would have done this sooner, but we (my wife and I) had two friends who died from this surgery. It took us a while to get past that, but we did, and I started the process back in June. I lost about 65 lbs on the pre op diet, and struggled with the notion of going through with the surgery or just doing it the old fashioned way. But as the doc reminded me, it isn't the losing that is hard for a lot of us, it is the keeping it off. So I went ahead with it.
Everything has gone exceedingly well for me so far. I am usually the person who is told "this never happens to ANYONE!" when it comes to complications or freak happenings. But so far no complications, no side effects, nothing but getting smaller as the days go by. To date I am 100 lbs down from where I started. I have about 80 lbs to go to get to my initial goal. I will revise that goal as I get closer and determine whether to push further or ease up. I do not want to lose muscle mass, of which I have lots.
Tomorrow I get to start in on soft food. I have been eagerly anticipating the day. So far everything has gone down without a hitch, but with each changeover, I experience a little trepidation. Anyway, hello to all of you, and I am sure I will have some questions after I do some more reading.

Sounds like you just got lucky to me. My recovery was not terribly difficult either. After day 3 I could basically gulp Water and never had issues getting my fluids or Protein down with the exception of a day here or there. I also went off pain meds on day 3 and I have yet to vomit even once. I think recovery goes well for a lot of people but we just don't hear those stories as much since people are much likelier to post or ask questions if something isn't going right.

I'm 11 weeks out on Monday. I went from 3xl snug - 4xl loose and 38 pants to 2xl perfect and 34 pants. I could easily go to 32 pants right now. I've been donating anything good to Goodwill and everything else will get burned in my front yard on New Years Eve! I plan to wrap up our Christmas tree with my old clothes, crank up "I feel pretty", douse the clothes in gasoline, throw matches at it and disturb the piss out of my neighborhood!

The smile on my face is because I was able
to wear the new size Large tops that I bought at Kohls this week. I had some kohls cash to use and figured that I would buy some warmer tops since its that time of year.
Imagine my surprise when I tried one on and it fit!!!

Okay guys, this is getting awesome. At my highest weight I wore a size 6x t-shirt. I love funny T-shirts and every year when my family and I go to Maine I stock up on funny t-shirts at the little stores in town. This year in August I saw a couple shirts I loved but they didn't come in my size. I decided to get them anyway thinking that I'll be losing weight and maybe I'll fit in them eventually.
Since I've been trying to do things I previously couldn't I decided to try one on just to see how close I was.
It fit. I mean a bit snug, but it could maybe be passable. I won't wear it out yet until it fits looser but before I would have never been able to get it over my head let alone be able to have it on and sit down without it rolling up
The size? 2x!! I wore a 6x and now I almost fit in a 2x!! I did cry this time guys and it felt really good
    Highest weight 10/30/2015: 540
    Surgery weight 5/27/16: 480
    Current weight: 352
Also, I'm sooo close to losing 200 pounds in a little over a year!!!

PB2 is powdered. You can add Water to make a paste or mix it into other foods or beverages. I put it in chocolate shakes.
I havent tried these but they are some ideas for PB2 recipes.

I'm still in disbelief that I'm actually here, at this point. It seemed so far away, and now here I am!
3 premiere Protein shakes a day, one lean and green meal, broth, and sugar-free Jello is what my days will look like.
There really are no questions here, haha. I suppose I'm just excited and wanted to share!
My poor little mind is trying so hard to wrap itself what is about to go down, and it's just not working. This next chapter in my life, well beyond my two week pre-op diet, is going to be completely bonkers.
    Wow.
    Let's do this!
