I haven't seen this topic recently. Anybody recently approved? If so, how long did it take after paperwork submission?
    Thanks in advance!

Yes, I would be angry too. [Hugs]

Do you want a devil's advocate? (The up side to things?) If not, don't bother reading below.

    1. Now you know your system doesn't like painkillers, so you can take steps to prevent Constipation during your sleeve journey.

    2. It is recommended to not get pregnant for a couple years after bariatric sugery, which would have run you out of time anyway.

    3. Just because you can't get pregnant doesn't mean you can't be a parent.

    4. You are getting the painful procedures out of the way so you can focus on feeling better going forward.

    5. No pregnancy means no required weight regain.

    6. The sleeve will be a simpler surgery, with fewer potential complications long-term.

This topic had been discussed ad nauseam. It's bad for a number of reasons. Death due to bleeding being the one I remember happening since I've been here.

I always chuckle when people say they know what they've done is wrong, but don't want to here anything bad about it. Posting something about imbibing a barbiturate, depressant, and blood thinner all rolled into one is something that should be mention as a very bad idea.

Glad you're not seriously hurt, but I hope you don't do it again for a while.

Sent from my phone. Please forgive brevity and spelling.

My Water weight fluctuates extensively so I was nervous about my last weigh in. Stay away from excessive sodium and hydrate as much as you can! I had Protein Drinks and minimal carbs 2 days before weigh in and was able to lose 4lbs. I scheduled early in the morning as well to get the lowest weight possible. Good luck!

OP, I think we should move away from the concept of "cheating" as health providers officially call it "non-compliance" and "against medical advice." Do you want to be deemed non-compliant in the books? You made it this far! Don't give in! I wish you all the best!

There are so many nice, intelligent people contributing to these forums. Their information is on point, their insight invaluable!! I look for some of these people under all of the comments so that I can follow them for their remarks, advice and humour!!
THEN there are those people, mainly women I'm sorry to say, who take every remark, every answer, every comment that does not suit them and they turn the discussion into a battle!! They seem to feel that everything written is an attack on their sanity, their intellect or their standing in the world!! They go into attack mode with the slightest provocation and insist you leave their thread and their life!! I truly don't understand this kind of mentality and how people with such thin skin can function in the real world!!
It's so nice to a have a forum of like minded individuals, WLS/losing weight, where everything and anything can be discussed. Why ruin it with name calling, direct personal attacks and a militant stance?
Please remember now, this is MY RANT!!

@@Fredbear I am not going to get into the whole thing about revenge, or who is right and who is wrong. None of us know the whole story. But I do have to write a few things in response to your posts. There are a lot of men out there who still believe in honor, integrity, and responsibility. I have no idea what the dynamics were in her marriage, but I do know that two people created not just a "contract", but a family. That family has been torn apart for whatever reason. The man involved still has responsibilities, whether he chooses to acknowledge them or not.
Regardless of what passed between him and his wife, the children are the ones who suffer the most in this. They will spend the rest of their lives wondering if it is something they did, and if they could have done better or made it right if they had just tried harder.
You might want to consider editing your post to reflect the fact that it is only your opinion. You sure as hell don't speak for me, or people like me.

I don't have Cigna, but my insurance also requires 90 days which is over 4 visits. The first visit is day 1 and day 30 is the 2nd visit, and day 60 is the 3rd. The last and 4th visit would be at least day 90. Maybe call and see if you can resume and have another follow up with the nutritionist for your final visit so there is no need to repeat the process.
Vent all you need! This process is definitely frustrating!

I don't have any issues with people being eligible for medicate. I think EVERYONE is entitled to EQUAL access to medical care.
And, of course, not everyone on medicade is demanding or impatient. And some of that is even understandable with uninformed or undereducated consumers.
For example, it's a fact that emergency rooms are over burdened by people using them as primary care clinics. The biggest abusers are those who done have a co pay.
If you don't do this I applaud you. But don't get your panties in a bunch that I have issues whit the people who do.
Oh yea, my experience is completely different that yours so DON'T JUDGE ME.

    Another entertaining read!
This post has it all: people rudely proclaiming how rude others are, folks who rudely exclaim "end of discussion!" as though it were up to them, insulting vets who know more about this process than any of us, and rudely making assumptions/proclamations that "everyone" ate prohibited foods during pre/post op and if we don't admit to it - we're in denial.
I actually followed my surgeon's plan. To. The. Letter. I can eat whatever I want at this stage, but I still haven't had 1 bite of junk food. I'm sure I will eventually, but I have goals and they're just more important to me at this point than anything with starchy carbs.
I'm far from a vet, but I'm already coming around less and less because of the reasons above. Every few days, for entertainment, I like to read the rants and raves.
I only joined the forum after surgery. In preop, I found all the information I could have asked for without having to ask for it. I wanted to join to share my experiences and ask for help is anything came up. Before I joined, I just searched and read the threads with helpful advice. Now that I can see the many (thousands) of posts looking for validation for bad behaviour. Even going so far (as one user here did) to accuse everyone else of the same, or lying about it - all in a desperate attempt to feel okay about it.
It was mentioned above that there is a good reason so many vets have wandered off the site, never to return.

Here is my thing okay and I'm gunna say this with as much respect as possible. But you had a life changing major surgery and one week after not only are you giving into ur cravings but ur craving JUNK. My problem is this. There are so many people out there who have this surgery bc they need it to save they're lives and for the people who have this surgery and don't make it successful that's taking a chance of ruining the statistics of the success in this which could allow insurance companies to no longer cover this surgery if the success rate drops to a certain percentage. So when u make these wrong choices you are potentially stopping people in the future from saving they're lives or making they're lives better and healthier when they truly want it and will follow thru. And with all do respect you seem to get very upset bc people are just trying to give u constructive criticism sometimes even though u may not like that it's what people need to see oh crap I really messed up and I need to stick with my plan. And I'm far from saying it's simple bc it's not but the one thing I can say is since I have started my pre op diet NOV 8. I have cooked every single meal for my family I have baked Cookies home made pies home made cakes u name it. I sit at the table with them while they eat supper. But I haven't even licked a finger when I've gotten something on it. It's not worth it to me I made this choice to make my life healthier. The vets on this forum have read stories like this over and over again and responded hundreds of times. So by now it just short and too the point and they tell it like it is. But they have been successful bc they listened to what they were told and I'm sure to other vets before them. So maybe when reading they're posts don't take it to heart but think I wonder how many others they had to go through this with. They just are not gunna make it fluffy and surgar coat it but say it how it is. It's always with the best intentions believe me when I say that. I for one like reading they're posts and if I did something as stupid as eating junk like that I would want someone to get on me for it. Think of the reasons you made this choice. Would u rather people sit back and say good job and then this all be a waste. I wish you the best of luck on ur journey and home that this helps you understand more. Also when u need a crunch .... crunch on ice. It's on ur allowed list and does the trick!!!
