I just called my insurance on a whim to check the status and found out I was approved 2 days ago, but the doctor's office hasn't called me yet to schedule surgery. I'm still not 100% sure if I want to go through with it. I need to lose 100-110#. I have sleep apnea but no other health issues. In fact I'm extremely healthy! The reason I even began looking into surgery was to be proactive before the health problems start because of my weight. I don't know how to decide if I should go through with surgery or not!

When you plan a dinner, already plan a second dinner with the leftovers. Example. You have Beans and rice separate. Plan on refried Beans and Spanish rice the next day and already tell yourself you need to save half the food for tomorrow night. It should help you get smaller portions to start with

Band to sleeve here.
Sitting comfortably in an airplane seat and have lots of wiggle room, even sit criss-cross applesauce style on the long flights. I remember spilling over and the seat belt was all the way to the end. I always felt I had to sit by family so I wouldn't feel like I was imposing on someone's space.

It was cold and rainy today and I was still in my flip flops! Which is why I love my Texas ❤️

I have already told people at work and all of my family know. The people at work have seen me struggle with diet after diet and give up. They are supportive. One is my boss and she needs to know in case I have to miss more work for Dr visits or complications. I'm doing this for me.

I'm three weeks out (HW 260, SW 240, CW 225). Today I had the thought that I don't care about food! I had to force myself to eat?? This is a shocking thought for me because I've suffered from binge eating disorder for over a decade. I've been in therapy for two years to work on all my causes. The sleeve is part of my attempt to finally make the changes I've worked so hard on. I told myself the sleeve would help, but I couldn't really believe it because I couldn't imagine ever having the strength/willpower to overcome my beloved food. Even as I write my brain is saying that tomorrow I'll probably go back to my old self????
Please don't read me wrong, the past few years have been so hard. This surgery and all these changes haven't been a cake walk and I know I've only just begun...
I just needed to tell others that can relate to me that I'm just happy in this moment. In this moment, even with my doubting mind, I feel good. Like I can actually do this.

Thanksgiving has passed by without weight gain and now on to surgery Wednesday! I was so afraid that I would eat way too much during thanksgiving and gain the weight back and my surgery would be cancelled. But that didn't happen thank goodness!!! Wednesday is my big day and can't wait to join the losers bench. All prayers for surgery and recovery are welcome!!!

It took me longer than I thought but I couldn't be more excited!! 2 months and 3 weeks post op and I've hit the ONEderland! Yayayayayya! Sorry just felt the need to shout it from the roof top. I've met many mini goals in the past couple months but this was my first large goal. Actually 3 large goals in one day! 50lbs down, 50 to go. I'm halfway to my ultimate goal and first time below 200 for about 5 years

That stuff sucks, I know it. I have had to turn down invitations to go to sporting events because the seats are too narrow for me to even sit down in. Probably not right now, but a couple of months ago they certainly were. Now, I'd probably be able to SQUEEZE into them...but I'd still be really uncomfortable.
Someone asked a couple weeks ago what was the number one thing people were looking forward to about losing weight. My answer was simple - not having to think about my weight/size anymore. Considerations like "Will I fit" will not even exist, anymore. It's going to be so liberating.
You're on the road, the time is coming...you've already taken the biggest step in deciding to do it, so just focus and stay dedicated to your process, you'll get there

I'm getting sleeved by Dr Hernandez in Tijuana on the 29th of this month and I'm so nervous
