My surgery is February 15th. I am so incredibly ready for this journey. I strongly believe in a support system, positivity, and an accountability partner. I finally have a date! I feel like I'm being swept off my feet. I keep hearing the date over and over in my ears. I cant believe a year ago, I didn't even know there was such a cure, and here I am about to start living the healthy life I deserve. Its becoming real and I absolutely can not wait. I only know a few people who have gone through this, but I would welcome any comments or support!

That is exactly how I feel. Like, everything hits me at once. all the what ifs and everything, but then I'm like, am I kidding, ive wanted this my entire life.

that is EXACTLY how i feel. like is this my life? Am i really gaining the luxury of becoming healthy at last? Ive struggled with this for so long, is this really happening to me? I can be normal like everyone around me?

I had to jump through so many hoops, and I still have a few more to jump through, so I feel your pain. I've basically spent the past year trying to get this surgery, and my date is finally February 15th.
I feel like my life has kind of been on pause waiting for this day. Its almost here, don't be discouraged because when you finally get it, it will be so worth it.
Ive been reminding myself in the most positive way, "you only get to be fat for 5 more months, 4 more months, ect"
So I have been kind of trying to remind myself how serious and good this is for me.

Ah! Needed to hear this. Spoke with my bariatric coordinator and i found out i wont have the surgery till next year, so im feeling your pain with that. This post is very encouraging, thank you so much!
