I nvr knew what heartburn felt like before surgery. I acquired it after surgery and took protonix the first 6 months. The more I healed the less harsh it was. I drink a bottle of water 25-30 minutes before I eat. And another 30 mins to an hr after. this DEFINITELY works for me to steer clear of heartburn! Try it out!!!

Mines came out at 4 months but it's slowing down now that I'm at 8. I lost a lot! I had really thick and long hair. It's thinned out but no bald spots. Im just ready for it to grow back and better. I had this... Any liquid made my stomach hurt and didnt taste right for months and months. I'm finally at a point where I love the taste of water again and can meet/exceed my fluid goals daily. Hey y'all, I'm 5 weeks out and wanted to know does the feeling of being satisfied or full always feel the same after surgery or does it change 4-6 months out after your stomach fully heals. Right now I can't stand the awkward feeling I get after I eat. Its not really comfortable. Feels like gas moving, acid, and tightness . I barely get in 1/2 a cup of anything at a time . I know for sure I'm not ready to go back to work but I went with the minimum time my dr recommended. Ooh but if I'd known what I know now. Smh, my job is sedentary so it shouldnt be too bad. I don't mean to make it sound terrible. But where I am right now isn't flowers and roses. I'm just trying to be real. This was major. The body went through something traumatic so for all the pre-op ppl. I would want them to know it'll definitely be trying... Dont try and hold back any tears, just let them flow as they come. @@Tiff187, girl I am right there with you. I'm having the hardest time with these nasty ass Vitamins and getting my Protein in. I'm 2 wks out too and balled my eyes out yesterday because I kept dry heaving and throwing up foam. I feel exhausted and weak and have to go back to work tomorrow. I hate feeling sick like this. When researching you never hear any one talk about this stuff. Now that I'm post op I see all these cons and I'm thinking, awwwe sh*t... What did I do! ????
