  1. With the laparoscopic and the hole for my tube drainage i have five holes in me. Is it ok to shower. Hole for tube is pretty open, but not bleeding. This is my 4th day Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Same here. Lots of gurgling and gas bubbles at first. Cold stuff seems to make it worse. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I did not realize how long the drainage tube was in my body. It reached to the other side so when they pulled it out it shocked me to find out how long it was Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I had my hernia repair and sleeve surgery monday the 24th. The air bubbles seem to want to go right to the hernia site. They sit there and are very painful. I get up to walk to get them to move around and out. Right now i barely notice sleeve surgery just hernia. Its super tight and full of air. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. Woke up very dizzy with vertigo. Drank a few sips of diet gatorade and a few sips of Protein in coffee drink. Full instantly. Heart seems to be palpitating a lot. My chest is red and so is my face. Heavily flushed. Wonder if i am getting dehydrated Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I just got my sleeve monday and ended up with low phosphorus which could have been because I had so much diarrhea from the fake sugars on my preop diet. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. Why do they give you pills to swallow for nausea instead of the melt in your mouth ones. Having really hard time keeping it down Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Thanks guys I am home now. Trying to get some Protein shake down me. My sleeve is still pretty swollen, so feels like a big lump in there. Everything I eat tastes like dirty pennies. I am content with cough drops to soothe irritated throat. No problems with sleeve surgery. Mostly hernia repair pain. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. I got sleeved and hernia repair monday morning. Woke up from surgery with tons of pressure in my diaphragm from fas bubbles. Right where they did hernia repair. I have been up walking a lot, just got cleared by xray to swallow liquids. Nausea has been a huge issue. They may keep me an extra day because of my getting sick. Finally got chicken broth and Jello but lost interest very fast. Terrified of dry heaving anymore. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I have a lot of people in my life that cannot gain weight, husband, sister, daughter ect. They eat all day and dont gain weight but are not healthy by any means. And they JUST DON't get it. So instead of the drama Only my hubs knows. And i had to really train him on weight ect. I think as a overweight person my ego is so deflated I just do not need the negativity. 14. I for myself am telling no one. Every single person I know who underwent surgery had so much negativity. I have told one friend and of course my husband. My kids know nothing of bariatrics so they don't know. And my family is not around that much. It's just a personal decision. You know how much you can handle and what other things might really bother you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Yay! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. If we can barely eat or drink after surgery how are we going to reach Protein goals? We would have to consume around 32 ounces of Protein shake to get the right protein. At one oz at a time how is that possible. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. As far as "fake sugars go" isnt there just as much in the premade Protein drinks, diet puddings, and other sugar free things. Sugar free anything makes me sick so I am panicked as to how I am going to choke down these Protein shakes and yogurts. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
