  1. Only my husband knows for these very reasons. But he can be dense to. Like for three weeks i tried to show him the diet i will be on after surgery. I kept showing him graphs and dr notes and literature and each time he zoned out and watched tv. Then he comes in as I am going to bed and says like he is Einstein. "You know you just can't order out and eat anything you want." Oh really because the doctors, nutritionist and psychologists I have been seeing for months says i can magically eat anything and it will float away. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  7. So its 8 days until surgery. Really struggling on liquid diet they gave me because I have IBS and cant tolerate cream of wheat or artificial sugars. Doctor is not in until tomorrow so after a horrible day of stomach issues I have been eating lean roast chicken and green Beans so that I can still go into ketosis. But I cannot stay in house all day waiting for my stomach to act up. I am supposed to be doing an all liquid diet. I am going to call doc in morning. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. I am resisting setting any type of goal weight. I started below two hundred because I am only 4'10. My BMI was 40-42. Well everyone keeps wanting me to focus on a goal weight and I just don't think for me this will be healthy. I want to focus on a new life, more energy, better wardrobe and working out. I feel like if i get stuck on numbers I will get into an unhealthy spiral. I have seen many people obsess about the scale and are not happy. Either wanting their weigh loss to never stop and get undernourished or feeling defeated because they didn't make it. Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I had to decide to tell no one but my husband, not even my teen kids because every person I have talked to has said how vicious people were to them. I do not have a supportive family at all. I know how you feel. My doctor summed it up for me and said I was extending my life and avoiding diabetes and other complications. This is a big choice and I would never tell people to do it because there are risks but you stay true to yourself. No one lives in your body. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
