I'm glad I logged on this morning and read your posts. I was having some concerns about my port incision because it really hurts whereas all my other ones don't. I was beginning to think maybe I already have an infection or something, but now it's sounding normal. Tender tummy, but a hungry one. So I am different there. And my left side is more sore than the right and so sleeping on the right side is more comfortable.
Banded on 3/3 and yesterday was sent home. Got me a good 10 hrs of sleep and took a shower this morning and feel soooo much better. Getting ready to go outside for a short walk. Some pain in shoulders - either that's gas or just because of the position they had me in during surgery.
I am allowed Protein shakes (I bought some from Quixstar (formerly Amway) in strawberries & cream and they are darn good), Jello, strained Soups, sugar free popsicles and jello this week. I can graduate to mushies next week (mashed potatoes, apple sauce - anything that can be swallowed but not chewed). Week 3 I get to incorporate some slightly chunkier foods and then week 4 I get filled for the first time.
Oh and I had to have an unexpected esophageal hernia repair. I didn't know I had a hernia - go figure!
We're on our way people! The worst is behind us!
