It depends on where you start. I know plenty of people that didn’t have any lose skin. Some people add collagen (i have no clue if that actually helps)

But if you do have some excess skin, be proud of it. It’s a reminder of how far you’ve come. Nobody will ever point that out.

Obesity can cause health issues—we, of course, know this. However, it would be erroneous to assume that every patient knows all of the complications and health risks that come with obesity, which is why it's part of a doctor's job to educate their patients about this. It might not be something that patients want to hear, but it's the harsh reality of it. My PCP brought up my weight when I first starting seeing her and I'm glad that she did. I'm obese—it wasn't rude for her to say this, it's just a fact. She asked me what I was doing about it, I told her that I was counting calories, exercising, etc. and she told me to keep it up. It was a positive conversation. She didn't reprimand me and I didn't feel belittled. I'm a sensitive person, but appreciated her honesty. I think this is information that must be told to patients, but that the way in which it is delivered is important.
I don't think it helps to skirt around this type of information because a patient might not be as willing to look into a nutrition class/healthy lifestyle program if they're told "you're just a little overweight," when in reality they're morbidly obese. They might not see it as an actual issue if they're not told the truth about their weight. I totally understand that this is a tough issue and that many who are obese don't want to be confronted with this information, but I also think that it's important that doctors are transparent with their patients.

Overall i eat really really well, but i definitely had some caramel m&m’s a few days ago because i was craving chocolate and it was amazeballs.

I’ll say this though so it’s clear. Live your life and don’t apologize or feel guilty about it. But at the same time cheats are for occasions, and they tend to work out better for people in the maintenance phase vs still losing phase. If you want to cheat do it, but own it and be accountable so you dont fall off the wagon. It’s easy to do. It’s your journey, have fun with it.

I regret being obese. I was miserable. physical activity was a struggle. My health was in decline. I missed out on activities and things in life due to my weight. I hated buying clothing in plus size stores.
I'm almost four years out..... Absolutely no regrets having surgery.
I have my health back. I'm in the best shape of my life. Eating healthy is still flavorful and just my normal life.
Enjoying life, having adventures and making up for lost time.

Time for one of my honest opinions again...sorry.

That’s crap. For me personally i didn’t save anything. I think people in general over think the surgery. I still spend money on food, just half of it ends up in the trash. If i go out to eat, the same thing happens. If anything i spend way more now because i’m a clothes horse. My rule initially was never buy anything that you don’t love even if it’s on sale. But the problem is i love everything and now that everything comes in my size so of course i’m going to buy it, i easily spend a ridiculous amount on clothes per month.

NSV: so i randomly went jean shopping and the size 4 actually fit, and really fit. I thought i was going to have to squeeze into them for dear life lol. I've been fat my whole life so this is new to me. The fact that i'm actually a small still blows my mind, but yet the scale still says im overweight smh. I'm still going to view this as a victory.

This isn’t super new but i still look the same.
As far as new updates to my story goes, i’m officially doing my first 10k this year. I’m training for that now in addition to weight lifting. I’ve never done anything athletic like that before.

Really? My boobs were the same size in that pic. In that post i was a size 6, now i'm a 4, but there's barely a difference. They still haven't moved. I honestly love my boobs so i might just do a lift. It's just annoying trying to buy clothes. I think the jumpsuit is just an optical illusion. My one year is coming up, it's actually on my bday 12/20. Depending on whether i lose more by then, i might post a before and after, not sure yet.

The one reason why i want to keep them is because i've literally never had back pain issues. So we'll see.
