  2. It could very well be from the surgery but I would have your surgeon check you. It could be appendicitis
  3. I had the same issue. The surgeon told me it was due to the position I was in on the operating table. It went away by my one month checkup
  4. I like the Rebellion BBQ Protein Crisps

  9. I gave 1000 different responses to nosey coworkers... anything from hernia repair to vaginal rejuvenation.... eventually they got the point lol

  12. I have the same issue with plain water... I used to love it but now, I get a heaviness when drinking it. Crystal light helps a lot. I know they push fluids but early on, I had issues taking in that much. I was bloated and uncomfortable from forcing fluids, my surgeon told me not to force liquids... I felt a million times better after that. Im 6 weeks post op and still can get in all my protein. The shakes have the same effect as plain water... its too heavy. My bariatric coordinator said the first 3 months is when u are really going to lose the weight so I should enjoy not having an appetite now.
  13. Your whole life is about to change... for the better! You are going to be amazed at how much energy and confidence this surgery will give you!!! You are on the path to finding a whole new, healthier you.
  14.    Frustr8 reacted to a post in a topic: Experiences with Phentermine?
  15. Phentermine will help you lose weight fast... if you can deal with the side effects. Every woman I know who took it was a raging witch on it, including myself. I second that it is basically speed. After so many months, your body gets used to it and it loses its effectiveness. WLS is by far more successful long term than phentermine
  16. I felt the same way you did... I remember looking at my husband a week after surgery, crying my eyes out, asking him what did I just do to myself. I never thought I would feel emotional after the surgery. I honestly think the trauma of the surgery itself is more than just physical as I am not typically emotional like that. No worries... you will get through this and will start to have a more positive outlook. I think this is a natural part of healing so soon after surgery. Its coming to terms with the fact that your lifestyle has changed... for the better :). Good luck to you and congrats on your amazing weight loss!

  18. My first cycle post op was a painful one. I found if I stayed ahead of the pain by taking Tylenol, perfectly timed, that it was definitely manageable. I just don’t think its worth the risk to end up with a marginal ulcer.
  19. I slept in a recliner the entire time in the hospital and for about 1.5 weeks after I returned home. Im a stomach sleeper so I completely understand. The doctor gave me Ambien to get me through that period because I could not sleep at all. I started slowly getting back on my stomach by using pillows to prop myself onto my side.
  20. Unfortunately for me, I have several family members who chose to talk about my surgery, without my permission, to several people. Now everyone knows! Im honestly quite angry about it but there is nothing I can do at this point. If I were you, I would just say you are low carbing ;). Most people will accept that answer and not continue to prod you for more details! Congrats on the weight loss!!
  21. I gained weight during the first week post op... It definitely was due to swelling and all the iv fluids... Hang in there, it will start melting off soon!
  22. Dont stress too much... I tried to force fluids and protein and ended up bloated and miserable. i expressed my concerns with my surgeon and he said to not worry about it and to cut back. I dont think they expect you to get al of that in during the first few weeks... thats what they told me
  23. I purchased protein water from Sam’s... I had the same issue with Premier shakes... its just seemed way too heavy for me. The water has been doing well for me
