Numbness in Outer Right Thigh After Surgery
Honestly you might be onto something with the magnesium. The numbness comes and goes in terms of severity, but I did add a magnesium supplement and it seems to improve things but I need to conduct a more scientific test. It's still weird this started immediately after surgery. I have since started having a similar problem on my left side but no where near as severe. I don't see my surgeon until mid-January, so I'll see then.

Numbness in Outer Right Thigh After Surgery
Thanks for the responses, I guess I'll just have to accelerate that weight loss (or wait 6ish months). I'll see what the surgeon says in January.

Numbness in Outer Right Thigh After Surgery
I haven't seen anyone else post about this so I'll put it out there. I'm 10 days post-op and don't see my surgeon again until January. Almost immediately after surgery I noticed a palm sized numb area on my outer right thigh , at the time I chalked it up to the rock hard hospital bed. However it's persisted for 10 days and this past Saturday when slept on my right side I woke up with a really sharp pain when I moved my leg that went away in about 5 seconds. I also occasionally get "pin and needles" type sensations in the same area no consistency in what triggers it. Anyone experience anything similar?

Post op pain - be honest
I had basically no pain post-op, just some mild pain on the largest incision if I got a little too active. Now that being said I had a lot of what I'll call discomfort and nausea after I first woke up. About 6 hours later the recovery staff suggested I walk around for a bit and that seemed to provide a lot of relief. They kept me on 2mg of hydromorphone and 1000mg of Tylenol while I was in the hospital is seemed to help wit the discomfort and something for the nausea through the IV. As soon as I got home I stuck with a low dose of Tylenol mainly to try to prevent too much irritation of the staple lines. No real pain so far.

Sleeve Recovery Time
I'm five days post-op right now, and was up and walking the same day (which really helped a lot with the heart burn/slimming). I was basically fine the next day (mind you I had an excellent surgeon and anesthesiologist) just some very minor pain on one of the staple lines if I got a little too active. From a social point of view basically 100% on day 3. But having read a lot on these forums it really depends on how you tolerate the surgery.

November 2018 Sleevers!?!?
Just had mine on Nov 19th. So far so good. Basically no pain except for one of the incisions, but very minor. Indigestion/heartburn was bad days 1-2 but is fine now (not sure of that's the meds or not). Felt a million times better after getting up and walking post-op. 3 Day hospital stay.
