  1. I am 7 months post op RNY and 115 pounds down! Woo!! Lately though, i've been finding myself able to eat a loooot more than i was the previous 6 months. I really hope i have not stretched my pouch, but don't believe I have as i follow my doctor's orders/diet to a T. Is it possible that as I am healing i'm just able to eat more and more? I'm still not eating anywhere CLOSE to the amounts i was able to eat pre op, but certainly a lot more than i was able to just a few months ago. It's a bit concerning, so if it's somewhat normal my mind will definitely be at ease! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  3. So i'm officially 100 pounds down, but still have a ways to go. This is the most confident i've ever been in my life and i feel absolutely amazing. Recently, however, as i've been healing and able to eat more and test out new foods, i find myself absolutely overwhelmed and terrified of gaining even a single pound back. i stick to my diet and exercise everyday, but occasionally (and i mean rarely) slip up and eat something i shouldn't or skip a workout. Gaining weight now consumes my every thought. I may sound like a cry baby but i just don't know what to do! It is so overwhelming and sends me to panic mode. I know i'm not perfect, but i'm trying my very best to be. Any advice or words of encouragement?? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I had surgery July 27th, and about a month and a half ago it started falling out. By the handful. Luckily I have extremely thick hair, but its thinning so much by my standards of what i'm used to, I'm scared i'll go bald! My doctor started me on 2,500 mcg of Biotin but told me unfortunately the hair loss just happens, the only thing i can really do is stock up on Protein and biotin to make sure the hair that grows back is thick and healthy. Can anyone that's gone through this please please PLEASE give me some hope?! When can i expect this to slow down and eventually end? My hair was pretty much the only feature i liked about myself prior to surgery, and when it falls out in clumps, it is really messing with my self confidence!! 5. I have posted this before, but am now really struggling and need advice/words of wisdom/ANYTHING. I had surgery 7/27 and it truly has been great! I'm down almost 90 pounds woo! Something i am struggling with so much is what I would call "frothy" vomiting after eating. The best way I can describe it is tightening of my chest, excessive saliva and burping until i eventually have to throw up. I know it is not dumping because i've experienced that (dumping for me is more of a total body experience with sweat, shaking, etc). This does not happen all the time, but mainly after Breakfast. Just today, i ate veggies and chicken for dinner, got sick, tried a banana 3 hours later, got sick, tried a rice cake 2 hours later, got sick. I AM SO FRUSTRATED and it is completely exhausting. If anyone can relate, please let me know! Any advice would be seriously appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    help!

So i'm about 3 months post-op from my rny and it has been the most rewarding yet challenging period of my life so far. Something i'm really struggling with recently is what i have heard called 'sliming.' The only way i can describe this is intense chest pain and over-salivation after i eat, which becomes so painful/uncomfortable i ultimately throw up. Anyone know what could lead to this other than the speed at which i eat?? I've tried slowing down and continue to separate my food and beverage but it feels like every other meal i still find myself getting sick. how long does this period of 'sliming' last?! i'm seriously struggling with this!!!!
